Question Adding Outside Temperature Display..Is It Possible???

Hey everyone, I had an 07 impreza and an 05 lgt and both had an outside/ambient temperature display on the clock pod...seeing as my 07 impreza had the same clock pod as my current 04 wrx, less the temp display, I was wondering if anyone has done it or if it's even possible to covert my 04 wrx over so that I have and outside temperature display?
Seeing as the clock pods are the same, I would assume if I purchase a clock pod with the temp display it will fit right in, and then I am guessing there is a temp sensor prob somewhere on the front of the car that would need purchased??? I do know that the 04 STi's came wit the ambient temp display and an auto dimming rearview mirror, and I have read that the wrx's were all prewired for the auto dim mirror (so I would think maybe prewired for the temp display as well???). Any help, thoughts or suggestions as to how this works or the possibility of the conversion would be greatly appreciited

I haven't every see the clock with temp that your talking about.

The 04-07 Sti have the temp display in the gauge cluster and the wrx's with auto climate control (05-07 i think) also had the temp display in the gauge cluster. The cars are not pre wired for the temp. You can get a sti cluster or possibly a cluster out of a wrx that had auto climate control and then buy the temp sensor and wire it all up, but there is some soldering and building a small circuit to get it to work.

Search for the STi cluster installs to find it.

I am going to be doing the same thing with the prodrive sti cluster I just got.

Sorry, my bad on the STi reference with the temp display, as the STi does have it in the gauge cluster...However my 07 Impreza that I owned did have the temp readout in the clock pod beside the clock readout.
Here is a clock pod/ambient temp display for sale in the classifieds:

O first time I have seen one like that. Did your old car have auto climate control?

Looks like the part number maybe 85201FE010. But those allso have air bag lights in them and your 2004 will not be wired for any of that.
