Default Question about logging

Hello!

I just got my AP and installed it today. I flashed to stage 1 93 octane and did a few logs. I found a few -1.4ish on fine knock learning from 4800-5200 so Ive been reading up on what all the values mean.

My quesiton is that I cant seem to find an answer in reguards to a wait time for logging. Do you have to wait for the ecu to learn after flashing before doing pulls/logging? It was about 5 miles between flashing and logging and I read in a few posts people talking about it taking 50 miles or so before it "learns" the new flash and you need to wait that long until you really look at your logs. This doesn't seem right to me as being protuned would require a pull directly after being flashed.

Any help would be appreciated!, and yes I did search

You want to make sure the dynamic advance multiplier (DAM) has learned up to its max value. For the 2.0L cars, this will be 16. For the 2.5L cars, this will be 1.0. Once it learns up to the max, you'll be running full timing advance which will give you the most relevant results for your wide open throttle run.

It is also a good idea to check the 4 long-term fuel trim values (A/F Learning 1 A, B, C, D) after a good bit of driving (say a week) since your last reflash/reset. This can potentially indicate if there are any fueling issues with the car.

Thanks! The DAM was at 1 when I was logging (I have a 2011)!

If you haven't already, check out our AskCobb data logging video (see below). This explains the basics of data logging and goes over a few of the important parameters.
