Yes, but no. Physically, the lights will fit onto your car. The bulbs you use in your STI headlights will not work.
Is it worth it? No. Not at all. Never in a million years. You should just crack open your lights (oven @ 250F, 10 minutes tops) and pull the amber out. |

but the chrome headlamps are so nice.. are the wrx bulbs D2R or H1's for low beam? theres got to be a way for the HID's to fit the headlamps! |

WRX uses H1. The only way to use D2S bulbs in a WRX housing is to retrofit projectors, but then you'd be cutting in to JDM headlights.
BTW, have you considered that the beam pattern of a JDM headlight is going to be completely opposite of what you are legally required to have in Canada? Japanese drive on the left side of the road, so their headlights dip/rise opposite to the Americas and Europe. |

yeah i have considered that, though the STi HID's have 3 levels of adjustment. so it should hopefully compentate? I had EDM projectors on a bug eye before and i just aimed them quite low. which resulted in pretty terrible light coverage but atleast i wasnt blinding people.

so I contacted a shop and figured out I would need to get JDM STi headlamps with HID if I want to ditch the orange markers and have the chrome housing. Getting those headlamps would be plug and play.
As for anyone considering a WRX JDM headlamp to STI swap.. its not worth it, unless you want to cut into your JDM lights as infinate012 stated above as the connectors will be completely different on WRX and STi. Bummer. |
