I like this more than the 08+ imprezas but I can believe they went from rally champions to this

That car is badass.I would take that over a rally car anyday and definately over the 08 + gay wagons. This is what they need to be looking at in the future not 5 door fagwagons.

It was on AOTS yesterday, I'm not very impressed with the numbers, 2.0L 200hp? I thought I heard it wrong and had to rewind, turns out, that is exactly what they said.

I'm excited for when I have no kids, and don't need AWD and will probably be going almost completely bald so i can rock one of these bad boys mid life crisis style.

We'll see what happens in reality if the BRZ STi comes out.

The FR-S is NOT getting a turbo... and I am sure the base BRZ will be N/A as well.

N/A sounds boring.

I believe it'll be kind of like the miata experience. Light, well balanced, nimble. Remember you don't need a lot of power to have fun, but it's not like more power will ruin it

Now put the rumored 1.6L turbo in it with the 6 speed manual transmission and you have another buyer.

I was reading Car and Driver mag about this a few weeks ago and they test drove the BRZ and said it corners well but lacks in the power department. Its light, and the engine is very low to the ground.
If they made a production BRZ STi I would buy it!

From what I understand reading about this and the GT 86, is they are aiming to make it VERY upgradeable. No computer gadgetry, automated stability control, and electronic suspension. Just a raw car to be made into whatever you want it.

it's N/A. plus it is going to weigh 2,689lbs. that's a decent platform to start with, i would be surprised if they don't come out with a turbo model.

I think they are cool cars. I would DD one.

You can always turbo it after the fact. But a STi version with 250+hp would be mobetta.

200 hp is a lot. My 2.5rs is like 160 and still fun. This will be faster than that.

I am getting one as a dd.

That looks like a PERFECT turbo setup. very little intercooler piping, EL headers, and no near 90 degree bend in the exhaust right after the turbo. This looks like it's going to flow extremely well.

STI has already confirmed that they are going to make their own variant of it, and I really hope it comes boosted.
