Default USDM parts for JDM powersteering?

What USDM year/Model of power steering pump and steering rack match a JDM '93 Impreza wrx wagon? GF8 chassis, EJ20G engine. Not a motorswap.

I have to replace a steering rack boot that is somehow shredded and I also have a powersteering pump that is now leaking massively. With the boot I could probably do ok with a universal fit steering rack boot of some kind. With the pump something a bit more specific may be required.

The racks are different, and not just because of RHD, either. I don't know about the pump, but I do know they changed with the introduction of the phase 2 motors in 97. I think you will need one that predates that shift. If you visit the jdmvip forum, someone has kindly shared the parts lookup guide. Link is below, but you may need to be a member to see it. Good luck.

I have a spare used rack I would sell, but you would need to pay shipping from Japan!

Awesome. Let me know what you find out. I tried installing the subaru FAST parts catalog with the my93 parts from a link on jdmvip. I think I'm finding some useful stuff that I will try to cross ref against the genuine subaru parts website.

96 legacy outback with EJ25 for the pump and lines.

Legacy postal wagon 90-99 rack will work. Any difference is internal they bolt in.

Any 90-up subaru for the boot, they are all the same.

my 93 1.8 pump had a different flange/needle on the end than my ej20g (from a legacy)

match the pump to the hoses. i would try the postal legacy route

Well, since this thread is bumped, I'll ask a question:

Can a regular 98 RS power steering pump work for a V4 STi-RA?

Probably, see if the pressure hose fitting is the same.

Mega bump/looking for more info!
So I thought my reservoir was leaking but I could have a completely crapped out pump now on my 95 WRX. I took the reservoir off the top and found that a 99 pump has the same o-ring size. But this thread is claiming the fittings are different? Everything looks to line up properly, but are we talking about the line that threads into the side being different? And for the last post saying to swap the fittings, does that mean that it's possible to remove that part on the side of the pump and replace it?
That threaded portion showing in the image:

Well the power steering pump was leaking I guess on the bottom... replaced it all with my 93 impreza pump and reservoir. It all lines up! Seems to be ok so far. Hope this helps someone in the future.
And I took a look at the lines from my 99rs parts and it actually has this metal ring around a banjo bolt that has a different size that the earlier pumps so it will not fit! Unless you can take that nut off that it bolts into. I think it's like 21mm so maybe I'll give that a shot sometime. Perhaps that's what was meant by changing the fittings
