If they made this engine a stroker, and could hold 200lbft to 8000, it would be one hell of a screamer. 300hp screamer from an NA engine. But I can only dream right?

I'd like to see more power to compete, but it doesn't need to be turbo. A screaming NA engine sounds enticing enough. A high end tune and stroke would be brilliant.

A 1.6l turbo just sounds lame.

2.0 turbo that revs to 7.5-8k that holds its torque to red line making 300hp... I would scoop that or a bad ass NA version up in a heart beat. (in b4 GET A HONDA NEWB)

For reference, I drive a 04' G35. 900lbs heavier, but torque is nice and it would be a fantastic change up.

I'm with you on that one. They've got a really nice platform going for them already. More power WITHOUT the turbo and it's really gonna turn heads.

Well of course......Merry Christmas sir.. Hope you are well...
Since I am going to compete with it nationally, of course it will 'handle' ..depending on which class It goes to...but plans are to race in a Street tire class...which allows some goodies.. Dual Adjustable coilovers, Bars, bushings, stainless brake lines, pads and fluid and of course rims/tires...reports are coming in that it will handle up to 255 tires...we'll see..I will know more when I see it in person in Jan..

A total waste of time. Non turbo and rear wheel drive, I'm a Subaur enthusiast and this car does not excite me in the least.

Whereas a 2004 Outback is just a thrilling driver's machine.

It's a 2004 Impreza Outback. That makes it even more of a thrilling driver's car.

so you want it to have faddish aftermarket modification and a 10+ year old engine design? and those faddish aftermarket modifications are what make a subaru a subaru? or are you arguing its just too aesthetically pleasing to be a subaru?

i hate to come across as a fanboy relentlessly supporting this car but you guys just make it to easy

SO much Celica. I will wait until the STi version appears before I make a hard judgement.

I am pretty happy with my stage 2 STi anyway.

I think it looks toooooo much like a hyundai Genesis, but i do like the whole weight aspect of it, but i dont think they'll pull it off.

It's not bad as is. It would be perfect imo if they kept it na, bumped the power to s2000/rx8 levels, and upped the redline to 8k+ rpm. Hell, an sti version is inevitable right

Car looks pretty good in my opinion, albeit looks similar to a Z4/hyundai Genesis coupe... put an EJ20 or an H6 in it and I think it would be an impressive rwd car.

One day I dream of a 3.0 litre, 6 cylinder boxer, twin turbo BRZ STI. Love for there to be a subaru in tuner lore with the supra. Just a dream
