Default What USDM Springs/Struts Will Fit a JDM '94 GC8?

I've searched the net for a bit and it looks like '99 and older GC8 is the only thing that fits? the wagon's seem to have different bolt locations and anything newer different top hat? if anyone can verify or let me know what will fit my car I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks again,
-Luka

93-01 Impreza fits. 02 + stuff will sit too high, the rear tophats are different and the camber will be off.

Thanks duder, what about just the springs? since I have an issue with ride height I'm assuming that's a blown spring not strut. so if I could save a few bucks just getting springs that would be awesome.

93-01 impreza springs will fit. You can use 02-03 GD impreza springs but it will sit higher.

This is as much an answer as a question but wouldnt just about any spring/struts/coilovers for a 2.5RS fit? Isnt it the same gc8-gf8 chassis?

You're reading it wrong.

GD stuff will throw the camber off on a GC. The GD track width is wider.

GF, GC and GG (02-07 wagon) have the same track width.

GF rear springs are a bit stronger than GC for the extra weight, but not much.

here's a solid thread about getting GD onto GC, doesn't seem like it's worth the trouble.

So, this thread and the linked one are kind of jumpy. but here's what I've taken from it

02 spring on a GC fit, but are too tall
02 struts on a GC fit, but change camber (corrected with camber bolts or GC top hats)
04+ will not fit unless modified

Is that right

we will need more info than that. What are the rest of your tire dimensions and how wide are your "rims" (wheels around here). Also, are you lowered any?

Well your tires are a little taller than stock so this is not helping your rubbing situation. And I'm going to guess you have either a 7 or 7.5 inch wheel as you still didn't state what it was. That size tire on that low ish offset wheel you will likely need a fender roll so your tires clear the fender.

Ideally you should be running a proper sized tire with a more appropriate offset. Something like a 205/50/17 instead of your current 215/50/17. This new size will be shorter and skinnier likely eliminating the rub. You should look up a bit on tire sizes as you seem to be a little new at it.

So, I'd advise a fender roll before you start lifting up your car. A roll just moves the inside of the fender away so you have more clearance for your tires.

Edit: agree with below, but its still alive, so why not

Not to rain on the party, but doesn't this thread belong in the Suspension forum, not pre-2002 turbo powertrain?

Here are two links that will help you. Read the first posts in each, and you should get all the info you need about making springs and struts from various subaru cars work on your car. As for ride height and strut mounting bolt patterns, that's addressed in those links too.
