Oh! It's important, especially with this thread, to utilize proper capitalization. Wicked Awesome wheels are also "awesome (Awesome)" wheels. Less potential for confusion that way.

It would be interesting to see how 18x9.5 +42 offset wheels would fit under a Forester.

The Wicked Awesome's would fit beautifully I'm just wondering how they would look on an 08 sports.

Im currently running 18x9.5 +40 on mine with no real issues except the dont clear Brembo's without a 10mm spacer making the front +30

Just wanted to post in to say that I am loving my 17x9 Awesome's. Running them with 255 Direzza ZII's and the performance is incredible.

Just to clarify these 17" wheels with 255/40/17 should have less wheel and tire height than the factory 235/45/17. So this should actually help with not needing to roll anything right?

Mine is an '04 and came with 225/45/17 stock, so the overall height of the 255/45/17 is exactly the same as stock with both having a 25.0 inch diameter. I do not have any fitment problems at all with coilovers and a ride height that is just about an inch lower than stock. Fenders are not rolled. -2.5 front -1.8 rear.

Yup, no rubbing at all. Although I am running pretty high and quite stiff in the rear so that probably has a lot to do with it.

I'm running RCE Tarmac 2's at DD rebound/compression settings. Stiff enough for HPDE but still compress with a 1 inch finger gap. The tires slightly protrude maybe 2mm and I have rear camber plates at -2.0. I still don't see how on earth you aren't rubbing unless you have Megan's at full stiff and 10k springs or something equally crazy?

I am running TiC SST coilovers at 8k front/7K rear spring rates. I think they are set at 5 clicks (out of 12 total) from full stiff. I only have about a .75" drop in the rear. I ran 265's on a 18x9.5 wheel last year for autox and did not rub then either. I apparently don't have enough suspension travel in the rear with the current set up to rub with anything. Any lower and I am sure I would start having problems.

Did you have to do anything (roll) to make those tires fit on your bugeye? I was thinking of doing a setup of Awesomes with the 235/40 Federal rsr tires. I still have my stock suspension.

I'm on Tarmac II's (KWV3's) with about a 2 finger gap and -2 degrees rear camber via plates. Per above my 245/40's rubbed like crazy in the rears. I had them rolled. Stock suspension? I don't know.

Have you ever considered doing something like a group buy in limited edition colors? I know I would like a set of Awesome in white or some kind of black chrome. Just a thought...
