A/C Compressor is squeaky.. Any suggestions?

Started happening a bit last winter, and now it sounds terrible..

Only happens when A/C is on.. I'm assuming the bearings in the compressor or clutch are going out. With the hood up and the car running, I can see the clutch is slipping on the compressor as well..

Is there a "fix" for this? Can I press out the bearings and put new ones in? It's a longshot, I know, but figured I'd ask.

If not, does anyone recommend a place to buy a rebuilt compressor & clutch?

Either the belt is loose (the A/C belt has to be much tighter than you'd expect), or the cheap plastic idler puller is shot.

Thanks, I'll check those tonight when I get home.

If it turns out the compressor is the problem, anyone have a source for a good rebuilt or used one?

Bump... Still in the search process but having a similar problem. Mine is more of a click than a squeek but only happens when AC engages
