Post cat back system opinion's, please

I am looking to put a different cat back system on my RS. It has the Brospeed set up, which I had included from the dealer when I bought the car. I want opinions on Ralli Spec's, Stromung, Borla, and whatever else you can think of. I am looking to spend $600 at the most. I also like the stainless steal look. All I have to worry about is being able to pass emissions test. Loud noise doesn't bother me as long as it sounds better than all of the whiny systems on the ricers. Also, I am thinking about a turbo in the future, so the exhaust has to be compatible. Thanks, GQ

I have the Stromung stainless steel dual tip cat back on my '99 RS. I love it! The sound is breathtaking, not intrusive on long drives and quiet at idle. No ricer raspberry sounds from this one, its all tone throughout the rev band. As a bonus it adds some top end kick and throttle response. The looks are real subtle, almost factory, but the sound is all race car! I highly reccomend this set up.

I had the STi v6 muffler, and now have the Scoobysport. The STi is a nice quiet deal, that's sound real healthy up top. The Scoobysport - well, the Subaru marketing term "You can't touch this!" applies. And no, no ricey screems from this one, just deep down growl.

I've go the Apex N1 catback, and it is quite nice. Quiter inside the cabin than the Stromung catback and looks better too! If you wanna see a pic just email me.

I also have the Stromung dual tip and love it. I was able to get the stainless system for about $465. I passed on getting the intermediate pipe because of the performance gain didn't warrant the cost.

Now the headers...we'll see.

I have the Brospeed/Subaru Performance muffler on my '99. I bought this before Subaru started including the mid pipe. I recently had a 57 mm (about 2.25") Stromung Stainless mid pipe installed. Bolted right on and has improved the sound. Not very loud at all but makes a nice deep tone. Bought mine from Flatliner for $150 plus shipping. I received it w/ in a week after ordering it. Don't know about whether it would be compatible w/ turbo.

i belive with a turbo you should use a 3 inch exhaust if possible, but putting that on a car without a turbo would make you loose a ton of torqe
