Default AccessPort Help

Hey guys,

I picked up my 2011 WRX a couple of months ago and added a Perring Cat-Back exhuast.
Next was to be Stage 1 but after reading this: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1982882 is the AP going to work with the Perring CBE?

Also im 3000 + or - where I live. Will this change anything with the tune or cause any problems?

Ive also been told that the Cobb stage 1 tune is better for your car then the factory tune, is this true?

Ive seen many post there logs on here and Cobb takes a look and helps out, thats promising.

Any other comments or info will help with my decision so dont hold back.

Thank you in advance for all your help.

A catback exhaust is perfectly acceptable for our stage 1 maps. There can be a lot of variation from car-to-car when it comes to boost control. For your car, we do have different level wastegate maps you can use if you are overboosting or underboosting (low wastegate or high wastegate maps). You can download them at our map repository:
http://www.cobbtuning.com/info/?ID=3061

The stock mapping on the later Subarus has what some would consider a "dangerous" lean condition well into boost due to an extended closed loop to open loop fueling delay. The Cobb maps eliminate this behavior, so, in that respect it is safer. Keep in mind, that any significant increase in performance puts more stress on the drivetrain. It is important to make sure you are using quality gas, that your maintenance is kept up-to-date and that you promptly fix any mechanical issues (which is also important even with the factory mapping).
