Default Problem with my ej20k ver.4

Hello, I'm from Chile and my english is poor, sorry for this.

I swaped my 1.6 Impreza to 1997 ver.4 STI and i have problem's. The light of check engine turn on and the car don't pass the 5000 rpm.

Hi,

If I am understanding you correctly your check engine light is stuck on and the engine wont exceed 5000rpm. Assuming that your ecu is from the same donor as the engine; it sounds like some kind of limp mode thing. If this is an 1997 ecu the wiring harness should have an OBD2 port or at the very least an ssi1 port that you should be able to plug into that should be able to tell you which sensor isnt plugged in or has failed.

I'd be betting on MAF, CAM or O2.

Without seeing or knowing anything else about your swap that seems like a safe bet.

I would say speed sensor is not hooked up.
