Ha ha ha. A teacher for the government. They have nothing to learn from us common folks. Seriously, what are you studying for?

He might have an A+P, you don't have to major in aerospace to work on an airplane. I think they're guys at boeing that just smash rivits without having gone to school for aviation maintenance, someone else just have to sign it off for them.

speaking from my experience, anybody working in aviation/aerospace who has A&P certificates will be more widely accepted by those in the industry.

I know somebody who had their degree in aerospace engineering from ER who worked for a 'smaller' airline, starting as an engineer and who became the director of maintenance and engineering......he had no A&P and that generated a lot of 'resistance' from the mechanics who thought that the director of their department should have these certificates.
Since this guy was my friend, I convinced him that it might be career enhancing to get his A&P.....so he went to A&P school and got his certificates....and his career mushroomed.
He went to korea and worked for kal/united for several years, and then on to bejing for a couple, and these were VERY GOOD all expenses paid gigs.

He got recruited by and is now working for one of the MAJOR usa based airlines at their headquarters as the head of one of their engineering departments.

And when I talk to him about the whole thing, he always laughs and says something to the effect of...'who woulda thought getting that stupid A&P woulda made such a difference?'
I guess he does.....

Oh yeah......

I make cheese in a cheese factory that is own by my family. Ive studied in graphical arts and ppl sometimes ask me for some stuff but making cheese is a full time job. The factory started really small but after about 18 years its now worth some millions and have about 50-60 employees.

My grandfather was a farmer but his son (my uncle) did started to do cheese at home then they invested in a small factory taking milk from the farm but ppl were asking for more and then they had to sold all cow and invested more in the factory to be able to make more (now buying milk from local farmers) and its always growing each year. Im now 27, been working there since im 13. We do transform about 2-3 million liter of milk into cheese each year. (think it was less than 100,000 liter first year)

(sorry for my english, i speak french)
