almost sure they are the same (as in they will fit). but check compression ratio, some are different.

i beleave EJ20r is 8.0, EJ20H is 8.5, and EJ20G could be 8.0 or 8.5.

has to be different pistons, head cc is all 46cc, on all but 89-93 Legacy GT/RS.

this is the info i have.

1997-1998 engines:

EJ20R and EJ20K have 8.0 CR
EJ20G and EJ20H have 9.0 CR

The pistons can be interchanged depending on what CR you're looking at. But make sure to use all four of the same engine/type as they do not have the same part number or weights!

it is going to be a custom block ej20g closed deck block with custom forged ej20r pistons mated together. so if ej20k pistons work then that will suffice, is this accurate?

guys I have one more question, motor goes in at the end of the week, what will be the problem if compression is raised to 8.2/8.3:1 instead of the 8:1?
