Default What The Hell...

I was driving home last night and the roads were wet so i was kickin up water (so i thought), I come off the highway and it was smoke, I filled the streets completely, looked like a muscle car burn out show.

Got my car towed to my shop, called the guy this morning and He explains to me that it was most likely the Anti Freeze tank that blew up. Said it happens in these cars from time to time.

Is this true?? I'm just glad it's under warranty, My 04 STI is completely stock minus the INJEN Cold Air Intake I installed 2 weeks ago. Is this something anyone can relate too ??

Thanks all!!

endcaps on your radiator let loose... Not really a tank blowing up, but the concept is about the same... Yes, happens a lot. Word of advice, don't put another stock radiator in.
