![]() greddy emanage blue $88 shipped ![]() STI Blue Injectors ![]() Moroso Oil Pan(1k on it) $325 shipped and its normally a $700 pan. would like to put a special thanks out to moroso aswell for going out of their way. the dipstick design the pan had sucked. they had me ship them the pan. they welded in a new adapter that uses the stock dip stick and also cleaned and decked the pan to check for flatness and included new studs and gaskets of no charge to me and it was a 1k turb around including shipping days. amazing service. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

WOW, never saw anybody paint a motor like that on a Subaru. Just wondering, why did you paint the timing belt tensioner?

in all honesty because if i pulled the timing cover ever and i saw a casted aluminum piece i would shoot myself in for not painting when i painted everything.
i know your not going to see it. the bushings, the pulley and what not where all completely masked up so none of that got painted just the tape you see in the pics..its little details like that to me that count and even though it wont be seen it took me a whopping 5-10 minutes of prep work and masking to just do it and make everything colored rather then leaving that one silly piece the aluminum color. |

thats for the compliments... the goal was to do this build on a budget but without cutting corners and doing it the way i wanted. i didnt give myself a budget because i know the budget rule too well and it usually goes over by 30-50%. also im not afraid to pass up good deals on certain parts like the moroso pan and pistons and stuff so ive spent some more money then what would of normally of been seen in a budget build but its going to be the car i want. thanks for the compliments

Looking Good! Your block color choice reminds me of the Legacy SS build I did a few years ago.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...light=crap+box Im totally on the same page with your statement of doing a budget build without cutting corners. |

exactly that how i look at it... i save money where i can but depending on the part i dont feel like skimping.
yeah ive built more cars then this so ive learned. the cobalt that made octobers issue of modified magazine is mine, then i have a drag car too. this is my first scooby do though lol. ive been around the cars a long time just never actually owned one. |
