This is good news for all those guys here in California worried about passing a visual inspection when it comes time for the ole smog check.

Keep it up!

That run was actually against an ITR spraying with drag slicks. He ran a 13.5 against my 12.8. I was lovin' it because in the staging lanes he and his buddy were looking like they thought they were going to hand me my ass or soemthing. Little did they know when I launched a 1.808 60ft and trapped 3 mph faster in the 1/4 On that run my 1/8 ET was a 8.1 @ 85 mph trap.
Actually, the ITR is all motor with 200hp at the wheels. I know because I was the "buddy". Its funny that you said we were looking like he was going to smoke you b/c we were actually talking about how he would need a really good launch for it to even be close. Congrats on the times.

As you said, I looked at the engine bay and it looked pretty stock Obviously it wasn't!

Sorry for misinterpreting your thoughts I looked over at you guys a couple of times to grab your attention and chat to no avail. I thought for sure you guys were thinking I was gonna get killed.

Looking at the timeslip, the times seemed really weird to me. That's why I thought for sure he was spraying. I think most people would assume the the slow points and the fast points in the slip would be from NO2. At certain points, it seemed really quick (as if the ITR was on the bottle) and then other times it slowed down a little on paper, i.e. off the bottle.

Tell me this, how does he get his car to run 13.5 with an all-motor set-up. Was his car stripped? I saw the slicks on there but didn't really get a good look at the rest of the car.

Anyhow, he's got the fastest Integra I've seen before.

Yeah, I kinda like the appeal of looking stock. Visual the engine bay is a sleeper. When I'm in the staging lanes people give it a glance and don't think much of it. It's only fter I run a few times and people start asking me all kinds of questions about it.

BTW, I thought that was awesome when your friend blew the doors off that S4 earlier in the night. Props.

I should have talked to you about your car (I might get one). I was just down there helping & watching my friends(ITR & civic) run. I was realllly tired, so I was just kinda hanging out. The beer helped a little with that.

As for the ITR, it has a b18c1 block, type-r head, wiesco? pistons, higher compression, all the bolt ons, hondata and some other stuff. I think his best is a 13.2@105ish. Not really sure. He does drop the seats and all the stuff in the trunk when he runs.

BTW, what exactly did you have done to the stock turbo(wheels, trims etc.)? Excuse my ignorance if everybody on here knows. Im a lowly Dsm, Supra guy.

Nice to see the stock hybrid turbo times are respectable. I had basically the same set up before the car met its end, RIP. I was positive that I had a 12 sec set up which was met with a lot of skepticism, I will have to show some people this post.

Wow! Congrats on the great time.

Do you feel you are pushing the limits of the stock injectors? Any ideas on how much better you can run if you ran bigger injectors and a higher flowing fuel pump?

dolbnyc1, this is a quote form his other thread. Maybe this can shed some light for you. I know the comrepssor wheel is like night and day from his turbo and FP's turbo.
Quote:

See the link above to do a comparo. Mine is far different form the FP. Compare the compressor wheels and then look at the size of the 15G turbine compared to the 13G clipped. WAY big difference!

If you guys want, I can supply the compressor part number and you might give turborepair.com/turbospecialties a call. I'm sure that they could do this for you.

My turbo guy said that he's too busy with his core business to do this anymore.

Actually, having known a friend have to get his WRX smog refed a month ago I have came to the realization that the smog refs have no idea what type of turbo should be in your car. There is no bar code and they have no specs on their sheet. He has a PE1820 which is a big turbo compared to stock and they didn't even take two looks at it. They asked him "is this the stock turbo?", and he said "yup!", and they said, "ok, thanks." If you MUST go to get your car smoged, you better care about the other things... like A/F guages, Turbo Timers, hell, catless uppipes, intakes, exhausts, and about a zillion other things. But NOT your turbo.

tmarcel;

nice numbers! congrats on your hybrid turbo project. i remember you told me a while back that something went wrong, but i guess it turned out well.

i have a couple of questions. from what i've read (http://www.stealth316.com/2-3s-compflowmaps.htm#fm), the 15g pushes a lot more cfm then the 13g. obviously that equates to more power, but how about the lag? does it kick in a lot later? also, what engine management are you using? TIA.

If you are running stock injectors on that car, something like the STI's really needs to be your next investment. If they are anywhere close to 99% duty cycle you are right on the fringe of Injector failure, they can only last so long in those opperating conditions. At 14 psi on my stock hybrid I was maxed out, you should be above and beyond that at 16 psi.
