Default IAG Collision Center - Now Open For Business!

As many of you know, we have been working on completing our automotive collision repair facility over the course of the past year. During this time, we have accepted collision work by word of mouth referral on a case-by-case basis, and have also spent a great deal of time completing Joy's (subysnak's) wide-body show car to showcase the talents and abilities of our technician's and collision specialists. Today, we would like to formally announce that IAG Collision is now officially open for business and accepting work from the public!

A brief summary and some information about our collision repair facility:

Following the model of our performance shop, our collision center features the latest tooling and equipment in the auto body industry!

First off, estimates are absolutely free. We work with EVERY insurance company, so whether you’re paying for work out of pocket or covered by insurance, we’ve got your back!

The paint shop voluntarily utilizes the newest "Green" technology known as waterborne paints that lower VOC's (volatile organic compounds).

Paint & Refinish:
IAG proudly sprays BASF products. BASF is the world’s largest chemical company. Glasurit is the premium automotive refinish system in BASF’s portfolio. It is a European based system that is found on many high end brands like Maybach, Bently, Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz, and Porsche. In addition it is factory approved by 26 others including Subaru. It offers top of the line UV protection, color quality and longevity. Choosing the best paint is only part of the recipe for a quality repair. Consistent with our mechanical shop, IAG built the collision shop with the best equipment available. Vehicles are prepped in our down draft Blowtherm Ultra 2000 Prep Station. This separates, prepping and sanding functions that tend to be dirty from the more critical painting functions. Once the vehicles are prepped correctly, they transition to our climate controlled Blowtherm Ultra 2000 Paint Booth. After the spraying process, vehicles are put through a 180° baking cycle to properly cure the paint.

Color Match: Color match, paint finish and panel alignment is everything. BASF’s Color-Max III is the most advanced color match system in the world. This along with a few sophisticated and expensive tools allows us to color match paint more accurately and efficiently than other facilities. The BASF MA-91 Color Camera Spectrometer aids in color matching. We also utilize a 3M PPS Sun Gun that aids in both color match as well as identifying paint defects prior to delivery.

Frame Repairs: Hard hit collisions that require the unibody of the vehicle to be manipulated back into original form (precise manufacturer specifications) demand the use of a frame rack (holds the vehicle in a fixture while large hydraulic rams pull on the damaged areas to straighten the vehicle). IAG has 3 frame machines - (2) Car-O-Liners and (1) Chief all with measuring systems.

Alignment: Our facility features the best equipment available, with technicians that perform a complete and thorough job ensuring your vehicle tracks straight and is free of tire vibration. Our Hunter RX in ground scissor lift is matched to a Hunter Hawkeye High definition imaging wheel alignment system. Furthermore this matches to a Hunter Auto34 Tire changer and Hunter GSP9700. We are able to discern whether a tire is defective, worn or if a suspension component has compromised the alignment.

BASF Small Damage Repair: We also offer small blemish repair and refinishing, as well as paintless dent repair. Until recent improvements in materials, the process of small damage repair was often very expensive and time consuming. Large areas of the vehicle needed to be prepped, masked, and later clear coated, even though the damaged area was very small. The "Small Damage Repair System" avoids those hassles while giving you superior results. In addition, the repair is still backed by the BASF Lifetime Warranty. All work is performed by a certified "Small Damage Repair System" technician who has completed a thorough training course in this innovative repair technique.

Vehicle Rentals: Our exclusive agreement with Enterprise Rent-A-Car allows us the ability to quickly access a rental vehicle on both insurance and out of pocket repair work. Their local office is minutes from our shop, getting you back on the road in a comparable vehicle faster and cheaper (if paying out of pocket). Complimentary pick up service is available as well!

As a part of IAG Performance, our collision center is dedicated to keeping customers our number one priority. The auto body industry is plagued by poor customer service, false timelines and sub-par workmanship. At IAG Collision, we strive to offer clear, consistent updates on the progress of your vehicle, provide explanations of the repair process and advise as to how to best approach the repair for your desired outcome. Your vehicle is most likely the second largest investment that you will make, so give it a first rate repair by choosing IAG Collision!

Post #2:
Common Collision Center Questions

Insurance Company Steering

“My insurance company gave me a list of repair facilities, and you were not listed… Can I still have my collision work done in your shop?”

YES!!!

This is the most common question asked by customers in the collision industry. Insurance companies work with “preferred” shops, which are set up with mutually beneficial arrangements (insurance companies send work their way, and in exchange they save the insurance companies money by using aftermarket body parts, conceding to certain labor rates, etc.). You ARE NOT required to take your car to one of these facilities – It is your right as a vehicle owner to choose your collision and repair facility, and your insurance company is legally required to accept that choice! IAG Collision will work with any insurance provider.

Makes/Models

“Do you only offer collision repair on Subarus?”

No, we offer collision repair on all makes and models, both import and domestic. Our collision specialists have experience working on a wide variety of vehicle applications like Subaru, Honda, Toyota, Ford, Chevy, Chrysler, Porsche, Ferrari, and Lamborghini (and everything in-between). Our experience includes everything from run of the mill daily drivers to magazine quality show cars.

Frame Damage

“Once a frame is bent on a vehicle, can it be returned to the original condition?”

All vehicle manufacturers have recommendations on the correct way to repair the frames on their vehicles. By following manufacturer guidelines, and investing in the right equipment and personnel, a vehicle’s frame can be returned to its original pre-accident condition.

Warranty

“Is your work guaranteed? What is your warranty on collision repair?”

Absolutely! Our workmanship and repair labor is guaranteed for life. Workmanship includes metalwork, painting, and mechanical labor. Parts warranties vary for each individual manufacturer.
