Default Broken bolt

Hi all!

I took off the intake funnel tonite to give me some more room to change my headlamp but one of the bolt heads sheared off the bolt...

Any suggestions on how to get the rest of the bolt out of my front under hood piece? Welding is only suggestion I could find in the threads and I was looking for something a little less extreme.

Thanks in advance!

Ok - so not entirely sure which bolt you are referring to, but the general way you remove a bolt with a rounded off or otherwise damaged head is using a drill and bolt extractors (sometimes called "easy-outs") basically, you drill a hole of the right size in the bolt, then thread in the extractor (which is left hand threaded) - as you tighten in the extractor, you will eventually back out the bolt. Make sure you use a penetrant of some sort, as well (pb blaster or the like)
