Default Royal Purple Maxfilm

Not sure if this is the right section for this, but has anyone on here used Royal Purple's Maxfilm penetrating lubricant. It looks like a quality product I just am looking for some firsthand opinions of it.

OK....here's what ya do

get 1qt bottle of the cheapest Dexron ATF you can get at advance auto or p00p boiz or autozone

then get a quart of acetone from walmart or lowes or wherever

get an old oil bottle and dump half the atf in that and half the acetone in.......pour the rest of the acetone in the atf bottle

the result will be 2 quarts of the best ever---not kidding.....rust buster fluid you will ever use

and you likely spent less than $4 for 2 quarts which should last for a LONG-LONG time

Interesting, I'll have to give that a try. I've always used PB Blaster. I'm asking about the maxfilm from a lubrication standpoint vs just a rust penetrator.

Thanks! I've used some of LPS's high pressure bearing grease at work and it served me well.
Also where do you come up with your concoctions? I've seen the transmission cocktail and I will probably be throwing that in my car since I've been getting some grinding. Do you just pick up products and try them?

I identify a need and research things and see what happens.....I didnt invent the ATF/acetone mix....that is an OLD-OLD redneck solution to not havin to drive to town and spend $$$ on PB Blaster

and I have found that I like the Liquid Wrench better than PB Blaster as well
