cant guarantee that as i've never personally taken any transmission apart to replace the center diff. If someone can ring in with info that would be great. Tho i was told it would fit w/o problems but i cant be sure.

Here is also the thread i read to swap out a center diff. It said that there are 2 types of center diff's phase 1 and phase 2. 2002+ wrx's have phase 2 so i assume the 07 would work in the 04.
