Default The Transporter

I have noticed several times and have also found myself wondering if anyone is driving back and forth that can transport some parts. So I decided to start a thread that does exactly that. If you plan on making a trip to one place or another and have some room to help some of the Forum members transport some parts (to save on shipping or just simply get it there faster) then post when and where and you might be able to help someone.

For example (actually happening): I will be leaving Fairbanks on May 2nd and driving down to Anchorage. I will be returning back to Fairbanks on the 5th of May. I have plenty of room if anyone needs some parts delivered or picked up.

The only reason I posted this is because there has been plenty of threads stating "Im sure someone is heading that way, maybe they can help"

Lol, not you Davin! Sicko.

This one!

Back ON TOPIC though, I think a dedicated thread would be nice. I always find stuff in Anchorage that I want, but don't have a chance to go get it.

I'll be driving up to AK sometime later this summer from NC with a trailer. Not sure how much space I'll have but if people have some heavy parts they want me to bring up I could potentially make some room. Bulky items like bumpers may be a no go simply because of the space, but we'll see.

Alright Fairbanks and Anchorage peoples, I'm heading down to Anchorage soon. (barring any car-tastrophe or freak'n blizzard conditions that is) If you need anything from up here from the classifieds or whatever, let me know and I can arrange to bring it down. Likewise, if anybody from Fairbanks needs something brought back up, let me know and I can pick it up when I'm down there.

PM me through NASIOC if you don't have my number.

Supposed to snow 2-3" tomorrow (no... I'm not kidding, that is what they said on the radio about 15 mins ago ).

Running down to the L48 in a few weeks. Empty truck and can bring a trailer if needed. Colorado, Iowa, Ohio, and anywhere else on the route.

Yeah, I heard up to about 12" through the Cantwell area too. Needless to say, my buddy is not riding his motorcycle back to Fairbanks. That was the main reason for driving down. My trip is going to be postponed until the weekend weather cooperates.

So when does everyone plan to go kick Al Gore's ass? Global warming and polar ice caps melting my ass. Who's measuring that? A Home Depot employee?

I'm flying up to Fairbanks Tuesday, Nov 12 and flying back Wednesday, Nov 13.

If you have anything that needs transport and it can fly, let me know.
