2 counts, right?

Default spottings in Rochester,NY area...

on Jefferson (?) somewhat close to R.I.T. a silver rex, debadged, rotas ( i think), aftermarket exhaust- I was the red L coupe with the P7's, tints, exhaust and NESIC stickers. I was up there visiting a friend - you've got one nice car!

on Monroe (?) i think that's in south Henrietta (not sure of the area to well) blue rex and black rex with rims (didn't get a chance to see what they were) aftermarket exhaust on both - I saw the black one when I was eating lunch at Aladdin's (pretty good food there ), then when I came back into town later on, I saw the blue rex parked across the street from the same restaurant. Nice looking cars guys/girls!

nice area up there, except i experianced some discrimination from some locals about my exhaust and from crackheads in the city of Rochester when I was filming for a skateboard video

The silver one sounds like Hotsam he has Rotas and painted sideskirts and the stage 2 kit!!!!

The blue one could have been anyone.... but maybe it was Gil?

And as for the black one I have seen him around but never talked to him (not a member), if its the same guy with a supertrap for an exhaust and gold rims.

I'll keep an eye out for you.. anything special about the L that would make you stick out (exhaust for one)? I'm in a blue coupe L and I have my official Subaru WRX SCCA sticker in the window... so if you see me honk!!!

Yeah, that was probably me. I'll have the stage 4 kit if I can ever get a good deal on a Turbo!

i'm not up there any more, 850 miles later i'm back to work .
At R.I.T., I parked next to a blue L coupe w/RS rims, it was a 2.2 though and there was a white 1.8 there too. A bunch of hon-duh's too... I'm sticking it out in the 2.2 because i love the car, it's super light too, i'm planning on swapping the engine to a EJ20T with an upgraded turbo, clutch, flywheel, exhaust. Right now it's just NA with a header back set-up, CAI, pulleys to come soon, lowering in progress soon

stage 4 i'm jealous, i was looking at that kit from forced air for my 2.2, but i decided engine swap would be better. Who knows, maybe I can get my hands on a EJ22T/TT

I might be back up there in a few months, i like going 110mph non stop with no traffic

Blue one wasn't me; no tango aftermarket exhaust.

All these Blue WRX's up here... when to Tinseltown last night and 2 of my friends both thought they parked right by me until it was time to leave and I was not near either one.

oh well, c'est le vie.

--->in reply to: haha, you had to go to rochester

i don't know what to say to that except everyone i know in rochester say the same thing. one of the reasons i went up there was that there was a skateboard competition at some new park promoted by hardpac i think...my friend was gonna enter and i was gonna film it, then skate it afterwards. we never made it though, - too much drinking, kind of sucks how all the bars up there close at 2am. that's when i'm used to heading out

(damn skater punks )

well if you go another hour west you can go to Buffalo and the bars don't close till 4 am.. I wish Rochester would do that...

You're also close to Canada and you can get some really good beer!!!

I would have liked to get blue, but like you said, alot of people got them in blue.

That is why I got white. I have only seen 3 other while WRX's. One parked at Wendy's in East Rochester and the other 2 in the dealer lot at Doyle Subaru.

That's why I don't have a WRX.

I get my fast car kicks with the TSi... when it runs. But when it does, it screams. Best 1/4 mile to date is 13.6 @ 100, with a 1.83 60 foot.

Mike, did you get the hood and exhaust thing straightened out?

Bring it on. Hopefully I won't destroy the car this summer, then I'll store it for the winter, and get a bigger turbo and a FMIC next season after I have a real job... then start saving money for a tranny and/or engine rebuild.

SleeperWRX-

were you out this past weekend? I didn't see your rex, wish i did though, looks real nice...

i didn't realize there would be even more subies up there than what i saw...maybe we can all set up a meet or something, i wouldn't be able to make it for a while though- we can kick my friends' ass since he seems to think Rally/Auto-x is the same thing as NASCAR. just a thought

Just ordered the VF30, so I should have the Stage 4 in a couple of weeks.

Time to think about getting a new clutch!

Just remember, usually, the stronger the clutch, the harsher the engagement, which means more wear on the tranny.

I'm thinking of getting a dog box to fix that problem, should it arise.

Good, get one before me, and let me know what you think. I'm thinking the same thing, with type RA gear ratios.

No, you get one first, so Jeff knows what he's doing when he installs mine!

I've just started looking into it. I've looked mostly at MRT and Rigoli. MRT gears are supposed to be very very loud, and that's something I'd like to avoid.

EDIT: This looks interesting, too:

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on that synchroed set since they were first released. Unfortunately, only a couple people have reviewed them (of about 20 in the country, I think), but they've been positive reviews. They're also priced pretty well.
