Default TurboXS uppipe

Got mine on Thursday. It's a VERY nice looking pipe. It won't go in until Bret gets back. Ummm, I forgot my point. I'll post a full review once it's in. Anyone else in RMIC have one?

Not too sure. I'm anxious to hear your comments, though.

Not too sure. I'm anxious to hear your comments, though. Maybe we should have an install party and put it in ourselves...

I'd buy food for everyone. My garage is too small though, so it would have to be somewhere else. Any takers? Has anyone installed their own?

Obviously, I would be willing to help. I haven't done an uppipe, but I have torn into my car on occasion. I'm not too sure about the garage spot. We could do it at my house, but I would be more comfortable doing it at yours....

Any takers on install help, advice, yada, yada....

I did mine myself and I did a LOT of extra crap I didn't need to. I am pretty sure we could do it in about 3-4 hours pretty easily given there are no seized up bolts .

I have a nice garage and all the tools... but I live down in the Springs .

I actually don't have any free time until next weekend, but I wouldn't mind a drive down to the Springs.

I could do it next weekend. We could 'train' down to the Springs. I know that area quite well. I lived there for a while. One thing to remember - get the gaskets. I've heard of folks having trouble with re-used gaskets.

I gots me 3 new shiny gaskets, but I'm considering waiting to do the uppipe until I get my TXS stealthback.

Not sure I can wait though.

I put my complete Turboxs exhaust in about two weeks ago. The uppipe appeared to be built like a tank. The rest of the exhaust was great as well. I basically did it all myself, but I had the help of a lift at the USAFA auto hobby shop. I did it before they put their instructions out (which include removing the turbo!) so I used the Perrin instructions from mods.i-club.com.

So far everything is working fine. I have to admit that it has pushed my scooby sport muffler over the edge of being slightly aggressive to downright mean...rally car mean. I love it, though!

Until I let Braden hear it, I though I had an exhaust leak, but it was just me hearing my turbo for the first time. Of course before that, I loosened everything up again to re-tighten it, so I feel pretty comfortable doing it if you want any help.

We're doing it down in the Springs. That's probably quite a drive for you.

David: PMd you.

It's less of a drive for him that it is for us....

The feeling I got from David was the more the merrier. Anyone interested in going, let me know. He still needs to let me know if it's on for sure or not.
