Default MA Body Shops With A Clue?

I have an 05 white STi which I bought used 19 months ago. At some point it was obviously in a fender bender or something because a few panels aren't quite perfectly Aspen White. Also some panels have little dings and other imperfections.

Within a year I'm looking to spend the money to get the whole car repainted in original color and also want to have the shop replace or repair any panels that need it. Cheap prices aren't so much my concern, as I plan to set aside $7500-10000 for this.

I just need a body shop in MA that is competent enough to handle such a job. Most I've spoken to are second-rate operations at best. I don't care if it's a big place or a guy in a garage so long as they have experience with performance cars and big jobs.

Try contacting Thomas autobody in Hingham. Of all the body shops I deal with they are one of the best. Very good reputation for their work.

Sansossio auto body in natick. You want top notch work....this is your place. Go over there and talk to Phil jr. They will do an amazing job.

Head over to yuppieracing.net (or .com, I forget) they have a section of that forum just for them....you can find examples of their work.

River St Auto Body in Haverhill, MA is awesome. They do mostly high end cars like Mercedes BMW and such the like but will do anything. Owners name is Mark.

Theo @ F&S automotive performance in Sutton does amazing work! I believe he does a lot of work for club broke status and has a ton of Subaru experience also.

2nd on Sansossio Auto Body. I am careful about who works on my car and did the research before having to fix up some body work from a break in, they did amazing work and are great guys to deal with. The guys are all car guys, Phil Sr. is involved with the BMW club etc. and you're bound to see some stripped out, race E30 M3's at their shop. Can't say enough about these guys, definitely check them out at the very least, I'm sure you'll be impressed

You feel like making the drive, I'd give a +1 to Tanner City auto body in Peabody. Fast Track recommended them to me after someone crushed my rear quarter panel. Nice little hole in the wall but they do decent work.

I'd recommend Allston Collision Center in Allston, MA. I go there for all of my body work, and they do a fantastic job. The owner Paul has been in the business 30+ years, and is a perfectionist when it comes to customer satisfaction. They do top notch work!

Research Mike's Autobody in Malden. High end Porsche and BMW work. Lots of info online. -
I'd go to them or Sansossio Auto Body based on what I've read online.

Dealerships will usually have the best quality paint booths, which is a good thing, but they usually will take forever to get it done. Ashland has a couple good places and also a horrible place that you need to avoid. One thing to do is check out each shop for new quality equipment and also see how clean the shop is. This will all reflect in your job.

What you are looking for isn't a difficult task so finding a shop shouldn't be a problem. The big issue is turnaround time. I'd figure a month before its done and hope for less.

Sansossio did a great job on my STi after a Tbone hit, but I wasn't 100% satisfied.

I requested them to repair some peeling clear coat on the corner of my hood. It wasn't affected at all by the accident, so it was just a request if it could be done be it with an additional fee or out of insurance. When I picked it up it had looked like someone simply smeared paint and clear on with their finger. The spot wasn't large and it did look better then before, so I didn't care, but it's just the idea of how my request was handled.

My headlight on the side of the impact also went out after the repair. They first pushed it wasn't their responsibility but I knew it was a result of the accident. They replaced the light free of charge which I appreciated (though they were sure to tell me how much it cost them) but every once in a blue moon the light would go out. It was unpredictable and it would stay off for random time frames. A couple hours, a day or two, or a week, then it would come back as it should. I couldn't find a short anywhere, and I sold the car before I brought it back to them.

I'm not bashing by any means, they have an awesome reputation for sure. But with any shop there are less than happy stories out there.

Arlington Center Autobody. They do a ton of Subie work, like 2 or 3 dozen subies a month. And both owners (Mario and John) own STIs

Assured Collision in Walpole, MA. I wrote a review thread on the work they just did for my car. Check my recent threads I started. I was involved in an accident during the halloween snow storm and they brought my car back to new again, even better than it looked before. I recommend them 110% to anyone.

Their contact information and address are in my thread.

Mine is there right now, will update when the work is done. Waiting on another insurance appraisal now.

It was comforting to see a model STi rally car on a shelf, and poster on the wall. The lady who handles the scheduling/insurance work also seems very helpful.

Owners are ex-rally guys from the Azores. They've worked on both my street and rally WRX'

Automotive Specialties Inc. in Hyde Park. Huge shop, very well known in the area. We send our clients that get into car accidents to them. Never heard a complaint. Also they have certified Audi, BMW and Mercedes technicians and I have seen them repair Bentley's.

These guys are great, too. Kraut worked on a bunch of my cars when I lived at home in Easton.

Bringing this back from the dead. Looks like the shop in Natick is a good choice but a bit far from me. Went to Patterson in Stow - did not like the vibe. Any good shop closer to Acton than Natick?
