Has anyone ever swapped a wrx engine in a TS wagon before? I am thinking of doing it any suggestion. All comments help. Thanks

He says:

-buy a full WRX wiring harness.
-You'll need a turbo crossmember(or cut and weld your NA one, which is what he did).
-Keep the stock hood, it will make you VERY sleeper, the cops dont pay any attention to him, no scoop, no spoiler, but 250 whp.. this means going FMIC.
-Keep in mind that putting a turbo engine on a NA drivetrain is a ticking bomb, be ready to replace your tranny.

He would also like to know what color your TS is, His is Savana green, and since WRX's didn't come in Savana, he only knew of one other Savana green turbo, but it was totaled.

i am doing this soon as well. did your buddy use the entire wrx harness that he bought, or was he able to use just the engine harness?

You are going to need both the engine, AND the dash harness, there inst really an option there. The ECU's are different, and have a different number of leads coming off them. Save yourself the hassle, and buy both.

Just be aware of the minor other differences. including the fuel pump controller in the turbo models, and one other difference that I will Try to find his wright up on.

OK, so I dont know where Yints origonal writ up one the big problem he had with his dash harness is, But I found his pics detailing the problem location.

If I remember right, it is the lead he colored blue that needs to be addressed.

It is under the steering column, behind the main fuse block.
