Default stage 4 12.5@107

I am running the turboxs stage 4 with a vf-30 set at 18 psi. Stock wheels with falken azenis set at 35 psi. My 60'was 1.723 with alot of wheel spin. I might have been able to drop the tire pressure 1 pound or so. Humidity was 47 percent. I had the spare tire out and about 3 to 4 gallons of gas in the tank. Full interior and I weigh 175lbs. The best thing about the night is that I made the quick 16. I was 15 fastest and the only car that was driven there and didnt have slicks on and wasnt on the bottle.

p.s. the track I ran at is 2 degrees uphill. with a high elevation and is supposed to be 2 tenths slower than any other track around. I will be running on Sept. 7 at the all subaru shoot out.
Hope to see you all there.

Neil

Nice run Neil. Where did you run it at? Numedia? BTW The all Subaru shootout is on the 14th not the 7th.

That is a damn strong ET for that MPH, I doubt ET gets much better than that if the MPH doesn't. Either way it sounds like you are one hell of a driver

I launched at the rev limiter. You GET about 7-9 psi. That is how to get low 60' times. You cant just hold it at a certain rpm and launch. When I did that the last time at the track I was running 13.1-13.2 at 100-102. My new approach dropped my e.t. 6-7 tenths. You must have wheel spin at the line or your car will bog and 60' times will suck.
Good luck,
Neil

Neil,
I would not suggest a rev limiter drop with stage 4. Phil and I have both had better 60 foot times with a more "normal" launch style. Just make sure you floor it BEFORE you start letting the clutch out.

Thats the right idea. By taching up to lik 4-4.5 and then a comb flooring a droping the clutch you get the same result of doing a rev limiter drop, but with out as much stress on the car.

Neil,
Yes, you'll see me up there...

As for fastest stage 4 time other than phil, that may be true, but again Phil and i have both run faster times with less abuse than a redline clutch drop... its just not needed.

In any case great times...

The things I want the most:

1. Stroker kit - NOT new cams - smog checks are required in most states.

2. Engine managment that doesn't cost an arm and a leg and is still usable by most people.

3. Air to water intercooler - for hot places, I think this is the best you can hope for.
