Default 04 STI carpet in 95-99 Legacy?

Anyone have any experience with the fitment of this? Would be into a 95 wagon. Thanks.

I put a 2002 WRX carpet in my 1998 Legacy wagon.

The front fits "ok".

I had to modify the cuts for the mounting bolts, the seat belt slits, and some of the clips up front. Its a little loose by the passenger side foot well.

The rear half was a no go.

Once you lay the carpet down you'll see why. The molded section where the carpet curves up and tucks under the brackets for the rear seat bottom comes up a few inches short. This leaves an awful gap and robs the rear passengers of about three inches of foot space. The carpet is also a hair too narrow. It was tough to get the edges to tuck under the kickplates by the rear doors.

I ended up using TWO Impreza carpets. I cut the first one around the seat belt slits, and used the back half of another to cover the rear section. The seam is hidden under the front seats. The rear "half" of the carpet is pushed back enough to contour to the curve, and is held secure by the seat bottom brackets and the Xmas tree clips under the seat. The rear section is still two narrow, and from time to time it pulls away from the kick plates by the doors.

I got both carpets for practically nothing, so I gave it a shot. But if I were to do it again, I'd just save and buy a new OEM carpet from the dealer.
