Meh. Never been so decided on taking a road trip for new years. Things went fine until the RS decided to throw up the contents of the oil pan all over the motor. LOL

That does NOT sound like an LOL moment, especially at thirty five below and several hundred miles from home...

Frozen PCV valve? Had a friend just drive a new Denali back from Soldotna and the PCV froze up and spit oil out of the dipstick... Get it all back together at least?

Yep. Luckily I carry an extra quart of oil which was enough to put the oil level above the dipstick low mark. Cleaned up as much as we could, put some oil in and drove it back home.

I quit trying to wave/acknowledge other WRX/STi's, never got wave backs, just usually dirty or confused looks...

With my SRT-4 almost everyone waved back...

It's been running, started it and drove it out of the garage the other day to get the new sled in there.

Now as far as the new motor in... nope.

I don't spend much time on fairbanksforum. I don't even know what you're driving, seems like you pick up a new car every week.

Don't be sad Jeff, I wave to ya when I see you.

And Davin is right, you go through cars quicker than I can remember what you drive. But if I see a Miata, I usually wave, since it's probably you.

I saw a couple manufacturer testing cars this afternoon. Downtown on the corner of 1st and the Cushman St. bridge intersection. I'm guessing they were part of the VW group since they were being followed closely by a new turbo Beetle. And I've seen VW concepts and testing cars up here before.

Both were base colored white. One was a sedan looking thing with what looked like electrical tape scattered all over it. And the other one was a mid-sized SUV thing, with tight gray stripes wrapped all over it.
