Saw a silver 05 STI leaving subway on Cushman when we were pulling up. Looked just like my old one, but it's not the same one. What a beautiful car.

Then I saw a black 08+ STI hatchback on the Rich headed toward NP. Had a cold front on the grill.

Saw a WRB WRX with an S203 spoiler and some bronze wheels at the Danby & Johansen intersection on my way home tonight.

Then a Red and Grey Impreza OBS and I got stuck behind some car going 45 down the highway near the off ramp. Glad the slow poke didn't take the Badger turn off with us.

The only way I'll ever own a newer VW is A.) if I live in a warmer climate. B.) It's a TDI

My girlfriends 07 Jetta is a PITA to keep running at anything colder than -30...

^^ That's funny. I hear ya though. The TDI's aren't much better from what I've heard.

I just got finished putting a circulating pump heater on my buddies 2012 TDI Jetta. It wasn't too bad. D-Dub told me about the company (frostheater.com) and they were great to work with. Fairly easy install. The engine compartment is just so tight in modern cars. You gotta be a contortionist with small hands to work on cars these days.

Haha Amen to that. I also spoke with the folks at Frostheater.com to try and see if they had anything worked up for the 2.5 inline 5 gas motor, but unfortunately they didn't. VW doesn't list a block heater for them either, so it's a 300w oil pan pad, and 100w trans pad, with a battery tender. Even with the front end surrounded by insulation, it still takes forever to warm up, where as my car takes less than 20 minutes at -50 to heat up.

^ I'm sure there's a work around for that. That is unless you are moving this summer, then it's a non-issue.

His name is Peter, I chit chatted with him a few times about mods and whatnot. Guess it has intake & exhaust (from what I remember). Seems to be an enthusiast, said will come out and rally sometime
