Question 255/35-18 tire on 18x8.5 wheel, 2005 STi +45 offset

Will a 255/35-18 tire on 18x8.5 wheel, +45 offset fit on a 2005 STi without rolling the fenders? Will this clear the struts? Should I stick to a bit smaller (245?)

The car is on RCE black springs and revalved feal struts.

I've searched but was unable to find definitive information one way or the other.

You should be OK. May get some rubbing in the rear. Do you know your rear camber settings?

Thanks for your response.

Rear camber is currently set at -1.5 degrees.

Forgive my ignorance here but how much of an issue is some rubbing in the rear in terms of usability?

You don't want to rub at all.

Hmm. I wonder if I should go smaller or just give it a shot.

You may have to trim the rears. I did but I also ran 245/40r18s at one time.

Is trimming the rears a very involved process? As you undoubtedly can tell, I've never run a bigger than stock tire.

Just a quick update: they fit and do not rub.

before (Stock BBS wheels with 225/45r17 Hankook Ventus v12 Evo):

after (Forgestar F14 wheels with 255/35r18 Dunlop Direzza Z II):

rear/side view:

Thanks for your help selecting this setup.
