Default AVO500 turbo build thread

I started ordering parts for my little build this past week so id say its time to start a build thread! Okay so the car is a 2004 subaru sti. Right now it has full perrin tbe, perrin ebcs, perrin short ram, cobb accessport w/perrin tune, and a big TMIC. My plans for the car in the next few months is to hit 400whp on MAPerformance’s dyno on e85. To do that im getting the following parts! 3” turbo inlet, AVO500 turbo, aftermarket unequal length header and up pipe (heat wrapped), turbo blanket, walbro 255, ID1000cc injectors (top feed), Stage 3 competition clutch, a dyno tune at map, and possibly a black plastidip! Let me know what you think and ill post pics as I get the parts on!

(no idea if these pics will work KCCO!)

Ive made a little progress! i got hooked up with a turbos fmic and a agency power BOV on top of all the other parts! I got the walbro255, stage 4 clutch, harness bar, harnesses, stripped from the front seats back, and I'm now in the process of putting on the new header/uppipe combo and the fmic. Dyno is scheduled for july 10. No longer have e85 in the plans as it is becoming hard to find in my area. So i will now be running 91 and water meth. Updates to come!

A lot has changed! haha now running e85 with 1100cc side feeds. the avo500 turbo turned out to be cracked so i got a brand new Tomei Arms M8265. The car has been running great and now i head to the cities in the morning to get tuned at RS motors.

Had some boost controller issues and could only hit 18psi. but it still hit 354awhp on the mustang dyno at rs motors in MN! I need to fix the boost problem and then we can throw more boost at it.
