Question RE: Bear tooth parking

Hoping some of you Anch guys could help me out. The wife and I are planning on going to Awolnation on Thursday. Never been to a concert there, but even on regular dinner/movie nights the parking lot is packed. Where else could you park? I'm also trying to figure out how early I need to get there.

When a group of us went to watch Senna we parked at REI

Park in the lot west of Bear Tooth about half a block down, on the south side of the street. It's well before you get to Minnesota.

For a concert aim for at least 45 minutes earlier. It's Anchorage, so if it were me I'd go an hour earlier.

Why don't you go eat at the Bear Tooth early? Like a couple hours before the show.

Wherever you park, be sure to look closely that you are not parking in a "private" lot. Some businesses consider their lots private even after closing. There are predatory tow companies that will haul you shiz off.

This is why i like living on the same street, I just walk there. same with koots and billiards palace. walking distance is sweet.

As for parking you can park at the koots parking lot if you don't mind the walk.

That's what I did when I saw the Presidents of the USA last summer. It worked out perfectly.

That parking lot is nuts anyway, let alone when there's a concert. Helps to plan ahead sometimes.

Hope you have fun. I'd go if I knew anything else by him other than "Sail."

Yeah, every time I go I show up super early. If nothing else to just snag a good parking spot. Have fun! Let us know how Sail sounds live. Everything else....meh.

Yeah we don't really know any of their other stuff either, but it's the wife's b-day so just something cool to do. We rarely go to concerts so it should still be fun.
