Legacy 09' Legacy Fogs- Go OEM or Aftermarket?

Essentially what im looking for are some fogs for my 09 Legacy...I have the 2.5i SE from that year which got the moonroof and harmon kardon sound, but no fogs so im essentially looking to add those.

Gotten quoted so far about $462 by the local dealer for parts/install of the OEM ones but have seen so so reviews of the OEM ones as a whole.

-Is there any aftermarket options for 09's that arent complete DIY jobs?
-Anywhere I could grab the parts cheaper than $288? Im probably stuck with a dealer since I got the Subaru bucks from my Chase card but figured id see.

I love the bigger ones on my 03 WRX but know something like that simply isnt going to work on my Legacy. Not really looking to do a big ole license plate or front bumper mounted system but keep it more stock looking than anything.

Also to anyone with the OE ones I've seen HID availability since its an H3 bulb apparently but are the bulbs easily changeable by the user or is it one of those "projects" to change like some are?

Thanks ahead of time to all.

There are dealers on this site that offer better pricing that the typical local dealer, and I believe they accept Subaru bucks. Check with Annapolis Subaru, for instance.

I'm hoping to install fog lights on my 06 come spring. I was looking at trying to retrofit the fogs from theretrofitsource.

oem is the way to go... try ebay, and see if you can find a wrecked legacy.

OEM is always better! Fitment, look, reliability.

I used to live in Quakertown! Did you check with Fred Beans? Check their website www.fredbeansparts.com

I would go OEM too...not necessarily at a dealer though. You can find the OEM fogs online for cheaper and they are hella easy to put on...if you are willing to spend a little time running the wires... buty even if you have them installed else where the bulbs are easy to change too. I just put PIAA plasma ion bulbs in mine...they are yellow and look really nice. Ill post a pic soon
