Default PLX Gauges

Don't even know where to start but these gauges have been horrible from the start, and after months and months of trying to get some kind of help from PLX, and allow them to redeem themselves I'm over it.

Issue #1:

I ordered two of their DM-100 touch screen gauges, a boost sensor, and a wideband sensor. Hook everything up and one of the center screens is just entirely dead. Spent a few weeks working with their support center and after I verified that it was just not working they simply stopped communicating with me and the issue was never resolved.

Issue #2:

Since I had the one working gauge I kept them hooked up in my car (saving for defi's is an expensive endeavor) and had been pleased with the way the working gauge worked. That was until the temp dropped to below 50 degrees here, which for some reason caused the entire screen to be nothing but pixels on start up. So now i'm down to zero working gauges. Again...I attempt to go through their support team to work this out. And again, after a month of working with them and making sure everything checks out, they simply stop responding to me and I'm stuck with two absolute pieces of garbage that weren't cheap.

Here's a few pics to illustrate what i'm talking about.

First the pixelation i'm talking about:

And how the two look together:

In no way could I ever recommend these gauges to anybody, they look flashy, and are pretty cool when they work, but this has been beyond a joke and some of the worst customer service I've ever dealt with.

Not a problem. I figured I'd give them a shot since they looked pretty neat and had the ability to run multiple sensors through each gauge, but they'd have to actually work first to get any use out of them.

I'd stick to something with a proven track record, I'll be replacing these with Defi's once i can stomach buying em.

I run a DM6 in my WRX.

The pixelation on the gauge only happens in extreme cold for me. I usually start the car, let it warm for about 5 minutes and then shut it off and restart and it's fine.

I have not had any of the issues you've had. In fact, I love my DM6 so much I've debated buying a 2nd to do oil pressure as well instead of my prosport.

Kind of disappointed to hear that their customer service sucks.

In my car the pixelation happens 100% of the time it's <50 degrees here. I guess it's lucky i'm in TX and for most of the year it won't be a problem, but i still find that entirely inexcusable, i'm not going to turn off and restart my car to get a gauge to work, that's asinine.

I'd post all of the back and forth's but it's not really worth it, they barely offer any help. When I eventually called them, the guy told me to rent a voltmeter (or whatever they're called) and to check every single one of the wires. I simply don't have time for that, and offered to ship them back the gauge, on my dime, so they could verify that it worked. Clearly that wasn't an option...

I honestly don't know how you can consider buying another of something that you're having issues with, it's a POS compared to anything in it's price range.

So did you not get the DM-100 OBDII touch? Seems like from the photo you have the DM-6 guages and not the DM-100.

I'm on the fence about getting the DM100 OBDII Touch. Figure I can pull boost from the ecu vs needing to run separate gueages but they also sell the module for boost and vacuum so I'm not sure if it won't read boost from the ecu? Was looking at the Maddad guage for boost if this is really a crappie gauge. Already have the LC2 wideband.
