This way if you remove your parts and then try to take it in for warranty on parts related to those parts, they can still possibly deny you. Luckily for me I just ask for my friend when I take it in for my oil changes (2yr/24k miles program) and no mod list is created.
Tell your friend to read the P&P manual, SOA only wants those recorded when you are declining warranty coverage. They do not give a crap what you do the car as long as you do not ask them to pay if you break it.

I bought a certified pre-owned WRX with a 3 inch TBE and a stage 2 pro-tune. Dealer said not too worry about warranty problems because it has been modded. Everyone's told me they're lying so I'll just deal with it if it breaks. If they can help me that'd be great, they're a tuner friendly dealership but I know it ultimately comes down to SOA. Whether or not they'd lie to SOA for me I don't know but that's the information I have from them, it's also in writing so we'll see I guess.

My 2011 wrx cracked two ring lands at 13k miles and gave me a reason to do a full build, didn't bother to try and scam subaru on a warranty claim.

Cobb tunes aren't people. Cobb tunes cannot deny anything.

Subaru of America can deny a powertrain warranty. Does it in every single case? Of course not. Warranty claim denial is at SOA's discretion after analyzing all the facts presented to it. SOA has offered a large number of "goodwill" warranty repairs for those who may or may not deserve them.

The mods should have never let this thread continue in the newbie section. All we have here is crap piled on top of more crap.
wow really dood?

"cobb tunes arent people" pfeh. of course they're not people. I can also tell you that Catback exhausts arent people either, but i'm pretty sure with your knowledge and wisdom that you already knew that.

Oh what the heck do i know? I'm an newbie idiot apparently. I'll tell you what. i'll make sure the next time i'm down in my garage, i'll double check with my cobb tune and ask him if its ok to go get an oil change. need permission first from him (or her, do cobb tunes have gender Gallo? i dunno! maybe you can enlighten me.)

so I have some aftermarket swaybars and endlinks and I'm suspecting that my car might have a blown strut. How likely is it that the dealer will deny warranty claim?
