I'm taking my car to pdx this week to have the suspension adjusted and an exhaust leak fixed. I'll let you know my experience!

Unless things have changed, Vollgas is owned by Haithem Toulan, who shares the space with Sean Logan for GPMoto. Haithem owns the Mustang dyno there AFAIK.

I haven't spoken to Haithem in awhile, but hope he's well...

Cheers,
P03w

So, Jared ended up working on my car for a few things.

First, adjusting the Tein Flex coilovers about an inch or so upwards so I can finally pull in my driveway now. I told him roughly how I wanted it to look and the new stance looks great on the first try!

Second, tracking down an exhaust leak, which turned out to be a gasket at the exhaust cutout. New gasket installed, no more exhaust leak.

Third, squeaking noise from engine bay, which turned out to be an inter cooler pipe that had rubbed through the rubber gasket and rubbed a hole in itself. He welded the hole/slit closed and put a better gasket to protect it from rubbing through as quickly. This fix actually in turn fixed another issue which I was having under part throttle, experiencing hesitation. This was due to the boost leak from the inter cooler piping and everything runs much smoother now.

Overall, Jared was extremely knowledgeable about each situation. I felt like the charges to do the related work/repairs were very fair and I left a very happy customer, ready to enjoy my car once again!

Thank you PDX Tuning!

Has anyone ever had an emailed tune from Jarrad? I am wondering how he does without the car physically.

Yeah used to be half the people in Alaska seemed to have PDX email tunes back in the day.

They were good. People seemed joyous. I was elated. But it was still 90 octane premium.

Jarrad came over to the East side and tuned my car. Runs A LOT smoother now. This was back in November.

Horrible business practices by Jarrad. I would stay away. Amazing how he is still in business.

I would not recommend this guy to anyone, same level as buying a car from silver line. Stay away.... Go to one of the tuners with a store front, Cobb, pre, Vip performance, PSI and a few others can all do pre purchase inspections....

You keep saying this.
I asked you last time why you think he's bad but you never gave me an answer.

Why do you think he is bad?

yup agreed.
I've been trying to get some records from him for over 8 months and he wont release them.
His ex close friend is the original owner/builder of my car and because they had a falling out he is taking it out on me and wont release paperwork.
played totally dumb and acted like he didnt remember my car at all.
when in fact, the previous owner of my car, PAUL, called jarrod and asked him to relase the build info to me. complete childness behavior.

Could not agree more, My experience at PDXtuning with Jerrad was horrible. I would not recommend him to anyone. Horrible people skills. I had an appointment to have my 05' STi tuned at a specific time. I arrived on time and was told that my car and I would be on the dyno soon. I waited 2 hours before my car was even looked at. When he finally pulled my car in, it took much longer than I was quoted and I sat and waited. After him messing around with it for an hour or so he told me that he needed to run to the store to get meth ( he knew that my car was being tuned for meth injection when I made the appointment.) I sat and waited while he went to the store. After he came back he continued to tune the car for another hour or so. After he was done he never once apologized or tried to make the situation any better for me, no discount or anything. To finish, my tune was OKAY, not great. I still had issues with the tune (I.E. CEL at high speeds) that I specifically communicated when I made the appointment and was the main reason for my tune in the first place.

Go where you want, but I would not recommend PDXtuning or Jarrad as a tuner.

my 2 cents.

I have personally been ripped off from Jarrad as well as my brother. Let's just say that he should not be doing business. It's sad he is still out there ripping people off. Trulyvbad person

I would say everyone stop asking about Him and go find out for yourself, meet him in person and make your own judgement about him. Biggest Problem with the subaru community is that everyone likes to follow rather then lead and make decisions for themselves.

I'd rather have the information out there that he has really done some shady stuff.

There are plenty of shops with store fronts and good business practices that will Have a better customer expeirance.

Brewpubeaver I would love to hear from you. I honestly have no idea what you are referring to, even after 6 years since we last worked together I am still happy to discuss what happened.

a93x. We can not release another persons records directly to you. When you called I recommended you have the previous owner of the car call me and I would gladly send him new copies of all his invoices so he could send them to you. The previous owner never called. While I understand your frustration, you have to understand that releasing records with financial information to a 3rd party is just not something a business can do.

Jarred, my tune is running great (the green 4 door, remember?).
However, the Check Engine Light goes off when I punch it at high speeds.

What do you think may cause this?

There are a couple possibilities, go ahead and send in a data log of it happening and I will take a look. If you need information on data logging there is a link on our home page. You can also send me an email if you have some other more specific questions. Sales@pdxtuning.com
