certainly does.

What's the plan for wiring/ECU? ... also, are there any engineering issues in tas or are you just going to play dumb on notifying any rta? :P

started to get stuck into the wiring today:

first came the dash etc:

then into more of it like the heater & stereo wiring & so forth:

and the real horrors behind the steering wheel:

finally all out. good 50kg of wiring in this car i reckon. absurd.

kha-kees: not sure mate. i'd like to get it engineered etc but i'm without doubt going to have a CEL and i don't think it can be passed if it has a CEL. if it can then all will be sweet but that's something i need to find out.

well if it's the light itself... possible to disguise it? Disconnect that diode temporarily? hah.

I haven't looked into the registration side of things yet as I'm not close to doing the swap at all (a serious project ahead in my mind though) but I was more concerned about having an engineer sign off on the completely different engine in the car, despite using stock mounts etc.

If that's a fireplace in your garage I truly am jealous.

the size of the engine is all good. for N/A, you can do weight of car in KG*5=CC of engine capacity (so a 1000kg car can have a 5.0L engine) and for forced induction you can have weight of car in KG*3=CC of engine capacity, so a 1000kg turbocharged car can have 3.0L engine.

at least, that's last time i checked. you also have to upgrade the brakes/suspension to whatever the engineer signing off on it tells you. some have been forced to upgrade to the full brembo setup, others have gotten away with stocko's. i'm going to install the brakes that came on the front cut (the car that the engine was originally in), which are the 294x24mm rotors that the rexxy 4pots come with except with a bracket for 2pot calipers, and then the FHI 2pot rears. considering that the car that the engine came in is heavier, i don't foresee a problem. fingers crossed!

yes that is a fireplace in my garage. god knows, i need it. it's the only thing set up in the whole thing that actually makes sense. this is my old mans shed and my old man (indeed, both my parents) are f**king morons. the amount of ****e they have managed to gather over the years is incredible. you should see the pile of car parts, old oil, just scrap BS outside the shed that i was quite adamant we'd need a skip for... but nope. that would be easy

so instead there's just a giant pile of ***** outside, to go with all the crap inside that he refuses to throw away. there's an entire skipload of crap just in the shed alone.
