Default Autodimm Homelink Compass not working

I just installed a Homelink mirror into my car but it seems like it does not power it up. I plugged it into my G35 and it powered right up. Did anyone else experience this before or know the solution to this? The wiring harness plugs right in but the mirror does not power up. Its a Gentex-453 with the hidden compass. Here are a few pic of the mirror

Maybe your car isn't wired to power?

Did you buy this new/used? At a dealer.

Ok, what year is your car? model?

Some are 8 pin some are 10pin harnesses. I'd plug the harness in (assuming its the correct one) and check the feeds with a volt meter, maybe you have a bad harness.

the 453 is for 06+ subarus

Not sure if you got my updated post or not but either way. I'm not too familiar with sabbarus =/, maybe someone else can chip in? When you hooked up to your G37 did you use the harness already on the infinity, or this subaru one?

Thats what I was thinking too a bad harness. I used the infinitys harness not the subarus. The mirror powered up right away. I am a noob in terms of electrical stuff. I was searching other fourms and someone had this post and something about internal jumpers http://legacygt.com/forums/showthrea...html?p=4431282

Is there power to the wire where you're connecting the three pin?
