This is the "Show us your Unique (custom) modifications" thread. Which thread did you think you were posting in? Maybe this one?

I actually had no idea that thread even existed so I figured I'd post it here. I'll post it there instead though

I'm sure I'm not the only one annoyed by there being only one cig lighter in the older chassis, I hated that I couldn't charge my phone and gps at the same time so I bought a cheap ebay cig lighter usb charger for a dollar, hacked it apart and hardwired it into my car.
I didn't feel like drilling holes in any of my interior, otherwise I would've put another cig lighter in the armrest but this way works fine for me too. I usually keep it rolled up in the glovebox and when I need it I just pull it out

the little unit inside the assembly after I cracked it open

resoldered new wires and then wrapped in electrical tape

ps: yes I know theres a bubble in my carbon wrap

I'm sure someone has done something like this before, just never saw anything when I was searched around before doing it

Thanks! I got the wrap from headlightarmor, great quality but just gotta take your time applying it. Lots of people say it's much easier to work with than other wraps but I'm just terrible in general at those kinds of things, my friend wrapped his perfectly and it looks great

Just finished some extensive exterior work that is kinda custom and very unique for a Subaru (And yes I have seen the rattle canned STI and decided to go for a bit better quality haha and it was only about $320 for the paint and supplies).

The reason behind it was that I put it in a 4 foot ditch and smashed up the entire right side. Plus lots of other dents and heavy scratches.

It's not going to win any shows cause it started with some heavy panel damage and about a gallon and a half of bondo lol plus I was short on time but it looks a million times better than it did.

My next car won't be abused offroad and hopefully this one will still be pulling strong (208k and not a single issue with the engine)

The car was painted with Monstaliner ( http://www.monstaliner.com/ ) and some Plastidip for the Grill, Fog Covers, Hood vents/scoop, roof rack, and hatch handle (don't know if I care for that one yet, input??)

I deleted the side turn lights and turned the daylights into turn signals, I also deleted the side indent and door guards as well as the roof rails. She still has some evidence of damage but it was permanent fix that should protect her from some more abuse and make it super easy to clean

Click for a bigger pic

My hood is bumped up a bit due to pretty heavy radiator support damage that pushed my radiator up about an inch (no damage to the radiator ) And the reason an L bumper is on and not the completely scarred up original

I'll be getting new rims or at least matching back ones once I need new tires before next winter in UT

I really want to lift her up so if anyone in Utah or surrounding states has a Forrester or knows someone who wants it lowered, the suspension is stock and still works great, somehow

i installed a back up camera for my kenwood, took out the lock and put it there. I never use the lock to get into the trunk and this seemed like a good place.

and i removed the clock and replaced it with my ipod, i used a silicone watch band to mount it. works great and i can control it with my head unit so its mostly just for show.

So do you have to take out that part of your dash now every time you want to update it or add music?

Painted wheels with Duplicolor mirage purple/green spray paint. Not a subie... but my WRX is in the background :P
They came out pretty good. The clear coat they included sucks and part of the paint chipped off from just handling it. Gonna spray it with some Duplicolor engine clear coat.

This is still not the right thread for pictures of painted wheels.

Feel free to be watching to move/delete posts that don't belong in this thread so that it doesn't become a mess like the last one.

Those wheels may not belong in this thread, but for a rattle can job thats pretty damn slick, looks like a super expensive wheel but it's just the tried and true tarmac 2 lol. Really makes me wish that would fit the color scheme of my car.
