So you don't need a key to start your car now?

So it's basically a flash drive as the key, with push to start and a kill switch to shut the car off? That's actually the only push to start I have found interesting on a Subaru to be honest.

Yes, it would be a flash drive, to connect a "relay" as we call it here, and the button to the starter, the red key serves as a master switch

That's crazy, definitely unique. Is it a kit of some sort, or did you make the USB like that?

For while it is quite simple, but a thief will never suspect a usb right? if anyone has any ideas for the codification of USB I appreciate the help, thanks

Yes and no.
He does have a master key switch in the vehicle if I'm not mistaken from the video he posted.
If he takes the key with him, his car is secure. If not, then jus pop in a usb and zoom away

it looks like it's just a usb plug according to the schematic... so, maybe, unless you have a usb plug with pin 1 soldered to 3, and 2 to 4?

Hello, I believe that only someone who knows the car may have a way to steal it, but as the BeBop86 said, would need a usb with pins 1-3 2-4 soldered, but if you try to put anything there it gives short and burning the fuse general and getting harder. why I needed help from someone to make a type of encoding on the USB key.

I still think its a great, and definitely unique, mod to the car. Can't say I've ever seen that before.

would be cool if the usb stick had some sort of file loaded onto it so that it would have to see that file to be able to power the car up, cool idea! could be even cooler

How does the USB unlock the car? In terms of the remote? Is the board for the remote somehow in the USB?

He said that the USB pins have to be soldered together, so yeah, basically they need a special USB.

That's what I thought it was when I first saw it. Either way, that's probably the coolest unique mod I've seen in any of the "unique mods" threads.

If you could do some kind of super in depth write up, something anyone could use as a weekend DIY thing...that would be incredibly helpful/awesome.

It looks simple if you look at the diagram thing, the only part I still don't entirely get is how make the USB act as a remote, aside from that it seems easy.

Unique exhaust tip? Am I missing something? Unless you hand molded it yourself out of a solid block of metal..
