Where does the reverse lift thing go when you add a knob like that?

Only the STI's have the reverse lock out. I think its separate from the knob itself. Not sure though. I modeled this one from the specs I got off my stock WRX knob. If anyone knows where I can find specs for the sti I will jump on it! thanks..

Most of the ones I have are just designed to sit a bit higher on the shifter so that the reverse lockout ring doesn't become blocked. I think some knobs have a cut out for the ring but I'm not sure.

Ok, cause I was looking into getting another knob and a shorter kit, but wanted to make sure I keep my reverse lock lol

Ill have to double check that its on the kit I want in the future...

Does any one know the diameter of the clearance cut out for the reverse lock out on the knob? Or the diameter of the ring and about how far it travels when you pull up on it?

As I measured it the ring on the 05 sti is 1 & 6/16 inches across and travels half an inch up when pulled. my agency power shift knob doesn't have a cut out for the ring it simply sits on it as shown in this...

About as minor of a mod as you can get but I painted the grooves in the lettering relief CBR and put reflective pink tape behind my front license plate delete.
