Im using a el sheet that is not laminated because i want it to be as thin as possible, though I've had some 110v shocks while grabbing it hahaha so be careful.
for your project, how much did you end up spending? I think this weekend I'll start working with photoshop and start designing. Do you have a .psd of the basic outline that I can go off of?

Around 160euro, so thats like $200, but the sheet is almost 80% of that price.

Yea i got my own templates in 600dpi, but i ain't gonna just share that, mostly also because of copyright issues.

The template of the outside border?
lol, I think there is some confusion. I mean the outside border so that way I can fill in everything else without a "fitting" issue. You know what I mean? I'm having a difficult time explaining this..

This is all overlay work, no need to remove the needles that would damage the cluster.

I had to make cutouts for the cel, fuel warning, and oil.
This is not the final design.

This is a great thread! All the mods are great but you got to appreciate the thinking behind each one. The post about the ex-wife has one just about knocked me off my chair. I am still laughing.

Pictures: I used 6000k White SMD LED stripping cut to custom lengths for all this lighting. Th door/puddle lights turn on when doors are opened. the rear hatch is lit up with the stock interior hatch light and is connected to the stock switch. and the license plate is hooked up to stock plate bulbs aka running lights. and you can not see the leds in the last picture, they are reflecting off the paint of the rear bootlid from the angle I took the picture

-B

for lighting reference:

Headlights are 4300k at HIDs 55 watts
fogs are 3000k yellow
running lights are Amber
interior gauges and boost gauge are 6000k LED's to match exterior lighting
