haha. that is an actual dog in the back seat...

i've since switched headrests to the 01-07 s-class units. they extend out at the base and cradle the neck amazingly well during long drives.

well here's the skinny on the STS LED lightbar: it is actually four long skinny circuit boards w/ LEDs - linked by their wires. the boards can be laid individually or in chain. the entire rear glass of my LGT is 3 circuit boards wide (so i have one left over) so WRX is probably similar.

just snip thru the silicone you done need on the last board and you're set. OR, arrange them vertically like a blade down inside underglass of rear pillars?

the four led boards, with and without lenses clippy things

w/ lenses

20120403_120842 by tommyburkart, on Flickr

my setup, off: six STS Red LED circuit boards (11leds each i think)
- one row along curve of glass, without reflector lenses
- one row straight and level along plastic interior molding, with lenses clipped on

That's very unique. Never seen anyone do a passenger seat to trash can conversion. Nice mod.

Only kidding around.

Since I'm still waiting for my car to be delivered I don't have any unique modifications, but here is a unique unicorn.

Lol so the headrest...

Are you so lazy that you can't hold your head up while you drive or have I been doing it wrong for 8 years?

haha, the OE LGT headrest juts forward and is really, really uncomfortable. i drive extremely long distances frequently and wondered about a replacement for 3+ years.

ive been buying all sorts of headrests over the last year looking for one that fit the seat. i discovered that all BMW 7-series and Merc S-class headrests (non-power operated- those cant be removed) have the same spacing and size as my LGT seat.

the comfort of a good headrest goes a long, long way, in my opinion.

cropped pic..........
