Its more than opinion, it is the truth...no one gives a **** about brackets you painted....
Like I stated before ,it is not unique...I painted tons of **** on my wrx, my tundra and my house.........
Did I take pics? maybe.
Did I post them and say look at my unique or custom mod? no
Im sure you noticed when you posted that this is the "unique and custom" thread not the "look at me I spray bombed ****" thread.

My opinion....If its not unique, everyone knows that and we can just move on. We don't need every questionable post turning into a fight about the uniqueness whatever was posted. That's how the last thread went down hill.

i did this using my hydro machine and as for the head unit its a tablet with broadband and 50 gigs of music space android 3.2

I am not the 1st person to think of using TGV's...look up mranlet and storm here on nasioc. They go through a pretty detailed process of adapting the TGV's into ITB's.

The hardest part is making the throttle cable assembly.

I agree, it's not. But I guess everyone is missing the point of that it's not "hey painted this and it's done. check out this unique mod!" I never said it was and it's only 1 lil minor step in a unique mod...

but it's ok, none of you know me personally and I can see why someone will look at my original post and say, "oh look here this guy thinks painting brackets is unique."

Well that's enough BS. This thread is show n tell, not debate over it

I guess I won't post previews anymore and just post the final product..

I tapped into the wiring harness for the auto-dimming mirror in the roof. The pictures don't really do it justice. I'm extremely happy with the way it came out.

If anyone else wants to do this, here's a link to the hard-wire harness with the mini USB connector.

I drilled a hole directly through the plastic suction cup mount and then used a machine screw to secure it to the roof. I used the existing hole for where that stupid little mini-sunshade mounts. I'm not sure which years included the mini-sunshade, but I know that at least the 02/03s have it.

my 04 has it so I assume 05 does too

It's so the interior lights don't shine in your rear view mirror while driving at night. Took me about two months to figure that out after I got my WRX.

I really LIKE that install. A hardwired Garmin is on my to-do list as well. Although I had read of the Garmin hardwire cable being more failure prone. No min-visor in a 06...hmm how to avoid adding extra holes to the headliner.
