If you get a chance, could you take a pic of the amber parking lights and the hyper yellows? Id appreciate it.

Kinger, how did you do the DRL disable? I just leave my lights on all the time since I don't like DRL's. And it'd be nice to extend the lights of my bulbs by not running them constantly..

It's incredibly easy. Their is a how video on a wrx on YouTube (it's the same process for ours. If you are looking at the car, the left side (passenger side) around were the fog light is there is a plug. Simply unplug it and tape off the connections. No dash lights or anything come on from doing this and all other lights function properly. Type in wrx drl delete on YouTube and it will show you how.

This is contradictory. You don't like your high beams on a dim setting in the interest of safety so instead you drive with all your lights on full brightness?

Yes?

How is this contradictory? I just don't cosmetically like how the DRL's look. So I would rather run all of the lights.

Fair enough. It's more a matter of preference. I'm just real nit-picky.

Is anyone using LED's in their tail/brake lights? I was looking at the Putco plasma ones, and I want to see if anyone has tried them or what else anyone has used. I know awb said he had tried some, and they didn't work too good. Has anyone had any luck?

What kind were they? When they weren't blowing fuses, did they perform well?

Regarding the LED taillights, the ones I had and the Putco ones, while similar looking, are (should be) different.
Yet, it sounds like they both blew fuses. Anybody know if there is something . . . different about the wiring on our Imprezas that causes this? Is it something that is going to be universal to all LED taill-lights on our vehicles?

Hmm, I don't remember anyone saying that they blew a fuse with the Putcos...

What kind did you use? What was the bulb number (7443, 7440, t15)?

The car doesn't meet the highway that much as it was supposed to. Mostly stand on boulevard speed on most cases.

Hood deflector is very useful on the highway & it sure work to prevent paint chip in front of the hood. I've seen enough car with the hood damaged from rocks.

I washed my car this weekend, and found several paint chips down to the metal along the leading edge of the hood. So maybe?

You would probably be better off getting a clear bra for the front of your car, but the deflector is prob better than nothing. I've had a lot of chips in my hood and bumper too

If you drive highway, absolutely.

Mine has saved my hood a couple times already. I think I got mine for $90ish shipped. Not bad at all considering how much $$ and time required to fix paint chips later.

My bumper is a complete disaster after 30k miles. I don't know what kind of garbage paint they use, but my last car had 190k miles and looked nothing like this.

Subaru paint must blow. I take good care of my car, and even after less than a year, the paint is all dry and rough in most areas. Granted, I don't wax and buff the car.. But my other cars I only did once a year too and none of them were this bad.

Yea, first thing I added, if you do one throw a blanket over the engine compartment, there are two little plastic T like inserts that are a PIA to get in the holes in the hood and screw down. In my case I had to take the air box out to get one that dropped. Unlike the ones on my jeeps this one does not reroute the windshield wiper sprayers at either low of higher speeds unlike the jeeps which at hiway speed gets the car behind me.
