I understand you say you dont want to do it yourself, but I highly suggest you just be patient and take the time to go ahead... and do it yourself. It will be worth the experience to learn, especially if there are any problems down the road.

Or, if you decide to upgrade any other stereo components, youll know what youre doing instead of dishing out more money for installation.

Or, if youre in San Diego, I can help you, which may be a long shot... but I tried.

Didn't do the center high mount brake light yet. Think it's a 7440. Have no idea how to tackle that job.

I favor plasma. Brighter and better construction.

Could we possibly get a shot or two of your eyebrow lights on? Also, do you feel that the LED reverse lights are brighter than the stock bulbs?

Go to my profile and click on my posts and see if you can find the pics. I posted pics of everything. Those reverse lights are insanely bright and pop in the easiest out of all of the LED's. I posted the amber lights on this thread very recently. Probably a page or two back.

And also plate lights:

I would suggest the Sylvania LEDriving 168 lights for the plate lights. They have better construction and fit easier. You can buy those at any autozone I think.

What are you using in the side markers?

Don't think I'm thinking of the right bulb. I always thought a side marker light was a light directly above the front wheel. What do you mean? The two bulbs on the outer edges of the headlight (parking light and eyebrow) ?

Yes, the side markers are the bulbs behind the amber reflectors in the front and the red reflectors in the rear that run with the eyebrow and low power brake lights. 168/194 bulbs.

Crap I totally missed those on the tail's!!!! Wonder what color i should put on there. Honestly must've looked them over somehow. The ones in the front are amber. The both fit. Takes a tiny bit of pressure but the click into place perfectly. I put them in with the eyebrows.

It is pricy but there are so many places to buy cheaper LED's. I think the future of car lighting lies in LED. I'm making the switch because 300 hour gas bulb life vs 50,000 hour plasma LED life just makes sense. Plus the color is amazing and looks unique. I looked at the tail lights when I took them out to put the LED's in and they are all burnt looking and nasty. So glad those are gone!

Yeah, the quality ones are rare and never cheap.

I would say that the brake lights will be very much worth doing, just for the 'instant on' and more output. The low output pics Andrei posted are telling me the high output should be VERY bright. Hopefully not blinding...

Haha,

what brand/style were they? I couldn't tell what type would be the best, down firing, flank or 5 smd. Edit: I wish Osram would make the LEDrivings in amber and red.

And I'd definitely go red in the rear.

They were the same as the eyebrows. The Lumen's. I'm thinking about getting the lumen's in red for the tail markers too.

Suppose I'll wait until my bulbs burn out and swap em, just like my tires. May be a while, but there ain't nothing wrong with earning some interest on unspent money! Other than bad interest rates... Off topic.

I wonder if those plasmas u got for ur reverse lights would fit in the eyebrow.. 600 lumens sounds glorious in that spot!

Yea they would. They are 168's. I just don't know about mixing colors. Maybe white would be worth a try because of the brightness. Maybe I'll throw the reverse plasmas on there to see if they look good.

color mixing as in the difference between the plasma white and the low beam? That's on my list to rectify, as i have LEDrivings in the eyebrow location with stock lows. I can't decide if I should just pick up some quality halogens to match the color when I'm seriously planning to do a proper HID retrofit in the near future.. If u get a chance id fully appreciate ur comments on the plasmas in the eyebrow. I'm mostly unsure about the length, although I did see that the base fits.

More output in the eyebrow would be awesome since they're wired as my DRLs..

I was referring to throwing the reverse lights on the tail side markers. Yea I have the amber eyebrows on the front and they look amazing. You've seen the pics right?

The length is great for the lumens or Ijdmtoy ones. They both fit great when I put em in both eyebrow and parking lights.

Looking at some aftermarket parts, is this just the basic roof rail?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/2012-2013-SU...-/270641172477

or is this one that uses the pre holes that are already on top of the car?

I'm trying to find some roof racks and can't decide if I should wait or buy them now

I think both use the pre-drilled holes in the roof and gutters, not sure about exact installation. However, I'm fairly confident subaru genuine parts catalog sells them for a whole lot cheaper than that. You can get Subaru OEM crossbars for $150 that do the same job, which is WAY cheaper than those things on ebay (hella overpriced).
