I also have a bid in on eBay for some daytime running led strips. One thing that sucks about having this car in Greece, the local dealer cannot order replacement parts when some fool hits you. :-\

Yea it's two pairs for the front. I have the LUMEN's in there now and they are a little shorter. They will prob fit perfectly on the second to last marker in the front. I'm just not sure about how they would fit in the far corner because it took a little push to get the LUMEN's in there. One is all you need anyway. Those thing's are bright! Here is what I have for DRL's. I'm thinking about the VLED 2,000 lumen LED's with the fan in the back but I don't know how they would react to the terrible weather here in new england.

Those are very interesting. I like the projector lens. I've just had a bad experience with cree LED's. I'm a big fan of plasma. They are the same output as the plasma's and look like they are larger than the plasma ones.

Yeah, I really want the reverse lights to project well. I'm curious to why they didn't specify the lumen output for the first ones, tho.

What was your bad experience with Cree LEDs?

Very true. I bought cree DRL's from jdmtoy twice. Both were diff sets and both started going out 3 months after I bought them.

Did you return them? Obviously you still shop there, so I'm guessing their customer service is good...

Yes it was excellent. I used the credit from the return towards the DRL's I have now. They have been on there for 6 months now with no problems at all.

Good to know.

I haven't had any trouble with Cree LEDs before, but they weren't working as hard as DRL's do. Hopefully those reverse lights won't have problems, since they won't be running but for less than a minute at a time...

Yea I don't imagine they would. It's crazy. 20,000 hour life. If they are as advertised, I hope to never have to replace my backup lights lol.

Off topic. Thinkin about bringin back the red trim this spring. Should I go inside of the grill or outside? Or no trim at all? I've done it on both and it looks decent IMO.

Outside:

I do care about color matching as far as I want both eyebrows to match. Why do you ask?

I meant match your low beams. I just ask because your limited to mostly 6k color and some don't like mismatched lights.

Well then, your straight.

I can't wait to see Andrei's ride with the 500 lumen bulbs, it should be crazy bright!!

flyboy said he was gonna wire his eyebrows for DRLs, he'll probably do a write up if tenaciousZ doesn't.

I ordered a long flathead screwdriver with a wide taper. Now that I have the right side freed up because of the CAI it's easy. But the parking lights on the left side are def not a good time. The end has a V shaped break which makes it easy to fit a flathead into to turn and pop it out. It can be done with fingers but I have tendinitis in my hands so I'll pass on that one. Wonder how the dealership changes those out and if they have a special tool for the job.

I have the ezlip and love it. If I scrape it or hit anything it just folds back to shape.
I have a friend who put a regular lip on his WRX and it tore off in the snow.

Yea I'm excited to put it on in warmer weather so the adhesion is better. I've put 3M trim on during the winter and it doesn't stay on very long. I figure the hot summer weather will help make it stick for the winter months. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

^^^ That's why I'm waiting to put on my side deflectors.

On an aftermarket note, found these while trying to find the headlight covers dijm has;

http://m.ebay.com/itm/271245017454?nav=WATCHING_ACTIVE

Now I personally would never get them, but figured someone might like 'em. Glad more crap is being made, tho...

Neat. I wouldn't get em either... Maybe if they were red haha. Yea I can't wait until they come out with a headlight that doesn't have a stupid U shape in it or looks plain. Better have good projectors too. Hopefully soon.
