It's a powered sub, which means there is a 125 RMS sub built in and I had a shop install it but I believe they used RCA connectors. The wiring kit was http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142PA10...t.html?tp=2919

Perrin Slash-Cut tip arrived in the mail yesterday. Going to give my car a good spray down tomorrow after work, weather permitting, and post up some pictures post-install. First impression: Excellent build quality, and I'm sure it'll fill the void where the stock muffler meets the bumper cutout quite nicely (4-door model). A bit pricy, but I think it will be well worth it.

Still havent messed with load resistors on my intermittent LED DRLs, however...

I hadnt quite realized when I put the LED DRLs in there that given the insane brightness (doesnt project very far though) they will make my fog lights completely useless since theyll never turn off and would create a white wall in fog/white out conditions.

Therefore I think that placing a relay in the circled area below powered by the fog light... power, would allow me to have the DRLs turn off whenever the fogs are on.

Any thoughts? Looks straight forward.

Hey guys I've got an '14 2.0i Impreza... Are there any bolt on mufflers to make it sound a little better? How about exhaust tips? I was thinking of the stock tip but it's around $40.

The tip came with instructions (Not that you really need them.. it's pretty straightforward.) I'm impressed with the quality of all of the parts, even the T-bolt clamp was nice and sturdy. It took all of five minutes to install, including the time to run back upstairs because I needed a #11, not #10 socket. My only gripe was that it seemed to stick out a bit far for my liking, so I just pushed it back a bit further. This way, the muffler isn't 100% flush with the tip, sticking out maybe a milimeter, but you could never tell unless you put your face in front of the pipe.

There's always the Perrin tip, like I just posted, but it'll run you about 100$ plus shipping. Some people have welded on Magnaflow mufflers with good results. I think there's a thread about it.

are you saying the tip changes the sound? you know you can get tips at autozone for 20 dollars.

No change in sound, I just liked the look and build quality of it, and there's no Autozone around here. Canadian Tire was the best bet, and they didn't have anything that came close to this. I like my exhaust quiet, but wanted something to fill the cutout in the bumper.

There are a few systems out there. Try Borla or Rallisport.

Depending on if he has a sedan or wagon. Rallisport doesn't make a sedan axleback yet. Magnaflow 11236? Is what works for the sedan models right now with some kind of tip

Yeah I have a sedan. I'm trying to avoid welding and just stick with a bolt on but I doubt that is going to happen right?

juts try the muffler delete first. Any NAPA store has a Walker exhaust #41785. It is a simple downturned pipe, that simply bolts up to where the oem muffler does. I had a welder buddy, gring the weld, and shorten the length of it 2 1/2" to have more clearence with the rear bumper cover.

Any muffler shop could duplicate for cheap.

I looked at Borla-$400, none in stock, Rallisport-$260-550+ for custom, to having a custom system made locally. All your looking for is some classic boxer rumble, cause there isn't any performance to be gained with any axle back exhaust.

Try the muffler delete first

If you make a muffler delete you will have to.... Make it. Therefore I'd imagine you'd make it easier on yourself by setting up a direct bolt on. If you had any issues just swap back to stock.

So doing a delete wouldn't void my warranty?

For those of you that have replaced your DRLs with something brighter that render your foglights nothing but a cosmetic asset Ive done some tinkering with the assistance of flyboy1100 in order to kill the DRLs when the fogs are turned on:

Caltech, just want to confirm what this mod actually does? What's the DRL aspect of it? When you switch your fogs on the drls turn off!
