Use a micrometer? Base has none all others have 15mm. might be 16.25mm with the coating. Best thing to do is check the bushings. Says the size on there.

Thanks. Nope, you should be good to go. I'll let you know this Sunday/Monday if I can find you one.

You ever get the Magnaflow?

Yes, i crawled underneath with a digital caliper. I was thinking the paint probably adds another 1mm or so

I already go to Ultraracing at Candiac Quebec, Canada and they told me that they gonna contact with Ultraracing Malaysia for our model.
I read in certain threads that the 2011 19mm Sti RSB will work on our 2012 imprezas.

I'll second that. I've been following these threads for many months and have read of several that say the WRX STi RSB is still a drop-in fit for the 2012's.

In fact, they're a drop-in fit for the 2010+ Outback, too, as many had discovered a couple years ago. I have them on my 2010 Outback and plan on pulling them when I trade it in for my 2013 Impreza and bolting them on.

You can order everything you need in one package here ( https://www.subaruonlineparts.com/pr...oducts_id=1267 ), and full details as they relate to installation on the Outback (which should be the same for the Impreza) can be found in the link in the product description of the link above.

I have the sway bar from a 2011 STi installed by the way. Easy installation and fits perfectly fine.

What kinda of improvement was there over the stock bar?

Cornering is a lot sharper and the car remains more flat. You can take corners faster? It is definitely worth it.

For those people who have plasti dipped their grille, does it kind of look "fuzzy" in certain parts? It seems to look smooth for the most part minus those areas.

But then again its a grille and I doubt anyone will be up close enough to enough to see the imperfections I hope? But I want it to be perfect.

It almost looks like fingerprints, can see a hand/finger print in both shots in that area. Was it cleaned thoroughly before plastidipping? I wouldn't have noticed it if I wasn't looking though trying to figure out where h close up was.

I washed and dried the area thoroughly before plasti dipping it and I held on to my bumper on the back while I was moving it around. I zoomed in on the top left portion of the grille where there is an opening for the air intake. Maybe I'm just anal. I guess taking the picture with my phone doesn't help matters either (there is some image noise).

How many coats did you apply? Was it windy or dusty when you sprayed the grill? Could possibly be a result of static electricity.

Is changing the muffler going to affect the chance of passing smog check in CA? I would assume not but I don't know what an O2 sensor is so I'm not exactly knowledgeable.

So any 2.5" oval muffler should work in theory? Or is there something more to it?

Is the inlet/outlet 2.5"? The exhaust tubing is 2". You'd have to go 2" off the mid pipe and use a reducer off the inlet of the muffler. You'd could run 2.5" from the outlet to the tip.

Since the 2011 STI 19mm OEM rear sway fits the '12 Impreza, would the Perrin rear sway for the 2011 STI would work for the '12 Impreza as well? Thanks!

I may have ...I'm new to car ownership/Subaru/modding. Also, I'm a college kid on a tight budget and don't want to buy something that won't fit.

If people are fitting it on the new impreza then i would venture to guess that it fits alright.

Do you know what that would do to the suspension warrenty?

True. I wouldn't think adding a rear sway would void any warranty. Every 2012 model (other than the base) has a rear sway. There could be a thread for warranty worries.

Exactly. I don't know what's the difference...if the 2011 STI rear sway fits the 2012 Impreza, and the Perrin rear sway is a replacement for the stock STI rear sway, then the Perrin rear sway replacement SHOULD fit the 2012 Impreza.
